Apparently, they are paying him by the pound. I think mostly they got rid of him because he kept trying to eat the contestants in the sausage race.
In other news, The Mets are looking like the beginning of Major League.

Chipper gets to 2700 hits tonight on his bobblehead night in his last season by hitting 2 homers. Got to love a guy knowing his body can't take it anymore and giving up millions while putting up a season of .315/.391/.515 53 RBI. It is super homerish, but I would love to see a guy that played the game the way he did get to go out with a WS win.

Even as a Mets fan, I have to give it up for that guy. He belongs in the Hall, fo sho.
