I went ahead and paid the 6.99 to download this game and get 3 months subscriptions (additional months will be .99)

I'm impressed. Very impressed with the polish of this game.

The the quality of graphics remind me of a mix of WoW and original EQ. It's definitely a WoW clone

The UI is everything with an iPad/iPhone game. They nailed it. All of the menus are intuitive and the the combat is well done as well.

Logging on to servers was easy. I accepted a guild invite just to see how that worked. Chatting/channels, guild/groups all easy.

Nice tutorial hints flow well as you start playing the game.

Gameloft has been making quality clone games for awhile now on the iOS platform. Order & Chaos shows that they have learned a lot while creating their previous MMO games.

For movement, you put your finger anywhere in the lower left quarter of the screen and the virtual joystick pops up and lets you drag it anywhere (so if you move your finger too much in one direction you don't stop moving) Lower right of the screen has the Boot which is "Jump" ...that pretty much clinched it for me. Any game that has "jump" is worth at least trying. The skill wheel is also in the lower right. Three skills show at one time but you just flick your thumb to access others. Middle right side of the screen shows a little triangle. Hit that to pop out eight or ten slots which hold your heals, etc for instant affects. Bottom triangle pulls up your chat and emotes. Nice easy way to switch between Global, Guild, Group, Local and Shout chats. Clicking on another character brings up easy butttons for invite, whisper, trade, etc. Clicking on your own character portrait brings up a well done list of things such as inventory, profile, stats, group, guild, bag, skills, etc.

Quests are easy double tap on nps with quest icon above their head. You get a selection of rewards with easy magnifying glass which pops up comparison window with your currently equipped items.

Skills are quite extensive. I chose Ranger and have Ranger/Assassin skill trees I can select from right off the bat.

Although I don't play WoW, think of this game as a dumbed down WoW (or Rift).

I played for a few hours, mostly one handed although that makes it kinda hard to move as you typically use your second hand to pan around. I figured out way to put one finger on screen and one next to joystick to use for panning. The only reason I did this was because I was laying on my side in bed.

Expect and old school original EQ/WoW feel/look to the graphics except for it having a very good UI.

One thing to note, it's wi fi only I guess due to the MMO nature of it. I haven't tried in on my iPhone yet but I think it will play fine, just kinda small.

Here's a fighter type as little example of play:

Looks like he's on iPhone. Video's a little dark.

This guy's a little scatterbrained but you can see the screen an UI better on the iPad. He eventually covers the UI and menus, etc so you can see skill tree, etc:

Watch video in 720p if you can.

I tried this last night on my iPhone 4 and it works well even on the iPhone 4 although tiny.

This is a pretty amazing game for what it is. I'd call it the first real MMO that plays like it's big brothers.

The question is how many peeps want o play a WoW clone, even if it's good, when it's wi fi only. It all depends if Wi Fi is available to you out and about when you normally venture beyond your hut. For me, it's typically 3G so I can't play this much unless at home which would usually dictate that there's something on the main PC for entertainment.

Impressive. Needs 3G capability.

I revisited this game yesterday and have to say I'm still very impressed with the UI on this game as well as the game in general.

First, for anyone looking for a WoW lite type mobile game, this is excellent.

More importantly, the interface is stupendous. Touch screens are becoming more common, not less and Gameloft has their shit together. They are known for making iPhone/iPad clones of existing games. If you understand and get past that part, you'll be able to enjoy some great games.

Gameloft’s World of Warcraft clone pulls in $1 million in 20 days

It seems Gameloft has found a winning formula for an iOS game: use a model everyone likes, charge a cheap subscription, and get ready to update like crazy.

That’s what it’s doing with its latest big iPhone and iPad release, Order & Chaos Online. The game is a pretty nuts-and-bolts clone of Blizzard Entertainment’s extremely popular PC massively multiplayer online game, World of Warcraft.

In just 20 days since its release, Order & Chaos has raked in a million bucks in revenue. This is impressive, considering the game is a $6.99 download in the iTunes App Store, and will charge a subscription fee of $0.99 a month, $1.99 for three or $2.99 for six, once the free three-month trial period for new players is up. That means that the million has come from app downloads and in-app purchases, and it suggests a big user base for the game even after a short time.

Part of the success of the game is that it’s well-made, picking up praise from critics and users. It’s a massive experience and runs well on over Wi-Fi, although it’s probably too big a beast for a 3G connection to support. Gameloft also has said the company is working on content updates for Order & Chaos to keep the game fresh, and has an Android version already in the works, according to a story from Pocket Gamer.

Another part of the success is Gameloft’s execution of in-app purchases, confirmed by the fact that the players are collectively dumping $50,000 per day on Order & Chaos, according to a press release from Gameloft. Most of the in-app purchases allow users to buy in-game currency for the collection of new weapons and armor for their characters, and it seems that at this rate, players are suitably engrossed in the experience; which is exactly what Gameloft had hoped would happen.

It also suggests that there’s an even bigger, more viable MMO market on iOS devices than most of us previously considered. Games such as Pocket Legends have been doing well and carving out a niche, but it seems that Gameloft’s iteration – and the significant investment and production values that obviously went into creating it – has struck a chord and showed the community to be large and expansive. If Gameloft continues to support Order & Chaos as robustly as it says it will, it sounds like the community could easily blow up to be one of the largest on iOS.
Besides Order & Chaoes above, they have some other clones coming out:

Here's a very impartial initial review of Order and Chaos:

He doesn't show the stats and talents much. He doesn't even click on any item to shows stats and comparisons with equipped items etc or show interraction with quest peeps, etc.

Here's a lot more entertaining dude with some high level game play:

Same guy going over Auction House and selling stuff, a lot of good menu stuff, etc:
