Fuck the Evil Empire of Belicheat!!!

I can understand hating obnoxious fans (its why so many hockey fans in Canada hate the Montreal Canadiens: they're not only obnoxious but French on top of all else!), but rooting for someone needs to have more to it or you might as well cheer for the refs.

I know what Kilmoll is saying about the Steeler D. Aaron Smith looks to be close to coming back, shoring up a D-Line that was a bit banged up but still doing the job. The linebacking corps is second to none and Clark and Polamalu are as good as safeties get. I do worry about the corners at times, especially McFadden.

I also don't know if Ashur would make a citizen of Steeler Nation seeing as Lamarr Woodley is another Michigan product... I guess you could just say he's godly despite what they tried to turn him into in college...?

I agree with a 58pt plus game, just not your outcome, obviously.

Although, i will laugh my ass off when this thing finishes 13-10, or 9-12 all fieldgoals.

edit: pregame has started today, yes...and Aaron just stepped up to the podium...disrespected his playoff beard and shaved it.

Betting line is Packers -2.5

Over under is 44.5 points.

I'd take the Steelers and the over. I will not bet on this game though.

I am a huge Packers fan. It is pretty surreal to me that they've made it this far. Hell, this team lost 7-3 to the Lions in November -- a loss that nearly put them out of the playoffs. It's been a hell of a run since then, and I feel like they not only deserve to beat the Daterapeberger, but that they are destined.

Hey now! Be nice Canno-beer: the 'burbs of Pittsburgh are pretty nice. Economical too, compared to a lot of places (even in Cannuckistan). And I love Pittsburgh's beautiful downtown: confusing to get around in but GPS are a wonderful thing.

And being drafted into Steeler Nation by my wife has been a lot of fun. For a long time, although there were teams I disliked (like the Patriots) I never had a favorite team but the Steelers were one I respected. Being able to say "yes they're my guys is cool", even though I'm still reserving judgement on Roethlisburger (he's played hard and been a warrior but he still needs to prove IMO that he has learned some serious lessons and is changing his behaviour... and that will take years). Wearing my Woodley jersey to the draft party at Hines' (er Heinz) Field, with my little guy in his Polamalu Onesy was a blast. I still respect teams like the Ravens but I don't like them (and I don't feel any sympathy for the Browns or Bang-als).

I think this will be close. If its a blow out, it will be the Packers O torching our secondary. But I am saying (not betting!) Steelers 17-13.

I'll say 30-24 Packers just to be contentious.

Stillers 9
Fudge Packers 0

Stillers win on a safety followed up by a late INT returned for a TD by Troy Polamalu's hair. Aaron Rogers looks even more hungover than usual after game.

DAMN!

Is the Winnow jinx really over? I thought that once he came out for the Packers, the Steelers were guaranteed their win.

Oh Well. It wasn't a bad run for a team that most weren't picking to make the playoffs. Good game. Tense to watch. No controversies to shadow an awesome performance by Aaron Rodgers and his O.

We were both a total of two points off the actual score except I nailed one of the scores and called the MVP as the tie breaker!
