Back up and so laggy that in the time it took for me to get from my walled camp to the armory to buy ladders, people had attacked me nine - read it, nine times - and taken all my money.

Same here. I log on and had 142k, before I could buy shit. People had wiped me out.
Then I attack and timed out. So of course they defended.
Bullshit!

Reminds me of a little thing I had going with HalfLife. I was playing on this server at a local computer shop. It was like a community thing they had going, 5 or 6 buddies. I started playing on the server and commenced to kicking some ass. They didnt like that so they tried to gang up on me. That made it more fun.
So one day I join the game and with my usual 180 to 250 ping I see the buddies are all there and wait for em to come get me. They had set up computers at the store and were playing somehow all on the server. I was getting killed before I even SAW them coming to get me. I would shoot at them and not even hurt em because they were not really there. I was seeing my targets like 2-5 seconds after they had killed me it was screwed.
So the next day I went down to their ISP and had em wire me in a T-1. That evening I was pinging at 0-3 on their server. I showed them =p
Any way I was just suggesting that a few might be hardwired to the "new and improved system"

Then on top of all that they seem to have added a lot of advertisements such as Gator. Doubt I will log into that slow ass server again. Hope they can afford the bandwidth costs.
