Yep. They're my #1 burger of all times. The fries are also excellent, and I like shelling and eating peanuts while I wait.

Do you think they could cut down on the portion of fries though FFS. The regular (smallest size) could feed a family.
Very good burgers. A bit pricey though.

We've had a few around here for quite a while, but I've yet to eat at one because none were in a convenient location for me. A new location opened within the last week or so that isn't far from here. I've heard nothing but great things about them, so I plan to check them out soon now that it's convenient to do so.

I had no idea it'd gone that far, I remember in High School eating at the original one and then the one closer to my house. The best part of back then was that I knew at least 2 or 3 people who worked there while in High School, love getting free food.
I really enjoyed the burgers and the seasoned fries, but I'm not sure I'd say they are the best burgers ever! They're pretty god damn good though, I should go back...

We grabbed some takeout on the way home tonight from the new location that I mentioned before. The food was good, but it suffered from the car ride, especially since we got stuck in traffic. I'll definitely go back, but I think I'll pass on takeout unless I'm confident I can get home fast.
You're right about the fries. I wish I'd read your post sooner because we each got a small order, and we didn't even eat one order's worth between the two of us.
Edit re: heart attack grill. The last thing I want with my food is a side order of camel toe. That's not far removed from eating at a strip club's buffet.

Just ate there for the first time. It reminds me of Fat Burger quite a bit. I used to eat there when I lived in LA.
This place is a bit better, actually. I like that cheese is not assumed! I had a bacon burger and it was tasty.
Fries were meh--would be cool if they had onion rings or skinny fries, but definately will go back.

I just ate here for lunch today, and was pretty impressed. My friends and etc. have been talking this place up for months, and after this thread, I made it a point to go. I loved the fact that they serve fresh cut jalapeno peppers instead of the jarred/canned shit.
The one thing I noticed was that the fries (imo) weren't as plentiful as everyone said they were.

Chile's has good burgers with huge, spicy bacon. It's tough to hate a chain restaurant when it has such damn good bacon.

Which one did you go to Zamtuk? I went to the one up on Polaris Parkway near where I work and I swear the brown paper sack my order was in was almost half full of fries. I also got the cheese + jalapeno and was also impressed by the quality.
It's my vision to see jalapenos replace pickles as a garnish and condiment because pickles are nasty and infect every food item they're placed adjacent to with their taste and stench. Once it's been done, it cannot be undone.

Fresh jalepenos? Hot diggity. That will go well with bacon and grilled onions. Even the pickled variety can be good on a burger, but obviously can never touch the fresh ones.
Still though, the fries are unimpressive. If you are going to do a penut oil fry, at least have the decency to cut them smaller, blanch them, then fry them so they are light and crispy. Or, if you absolutely must take shortcuts, just cut them smaller like In-N-Out.
Dense, tasteless....I know that is how some like them, but it ain't for me.
Again, onion rings would rock, especially as a topping.

This may very well be the most insightful thing I've ever seen you say Ash.. Not saying you're an idiot or anything, I just despise pickles with a fiery passion.
On a side note, from the sound of this place I kind of wish they had them out here in Jersey.. we dont really have any good "burger" joints...except for White Mana
http://www.hollyeats.com/WhiteManna.htm
The pictures dont do the burgers justice.. theyre so cheap and small you can put a good handful away and be satisfied. The place literally sits about 16 people, is almost ALWAYS packed to the brim and after setting foot in there you will have the smell of White Manna on you for the rest of the day... but goddamn they're good.

They opened one up about a mile away from me at a strip mall. If I'm not making my own burgers and we are in a pinch, we'll head there. However, just about any diner in NJ makes a better burger. So if we're sitting down for a burger, we're going to a diner. The peanuts are a nice touch at five guys, but the burger gets outclassed every time.
