Billy Mays: An Ex-Pitchman?

Fox & MSNBC are reporting he's pushing up the daiseys. Haven't been able to find any real news about it on the Internet yet, except for this amusing update to his wikipedia entry (it has since been removed):

"He was found dead in his home on June 28, 2009, after being strangled with a shamwow."

EDIT: Tampa Bay Online has a story about it now.

TMZ has confirmed TV pitchman Billy Mays was found dead today in his home in Tampa, Florida.

According to the Tampa PD, Mays was pronounced dead at 7:45 AM.

The 50-year-old was found by his wife early this morning.

TMZ has learned Mays' body has already been removed from his home.

There are reports that Mays had just returned from Philadelphia, where he shot a new Oxiclean commercial.

Looks like it was a concussion (not confirmed). He was hit on the head Saturday by some luggage that fell out of an overhead compartment during a landing. The tire of the plane apparently blew out, causing the compartment to open.

He was a moron if he didn't seek medical attention after the accident (especially when his wife said he "didn't feel well" before going to bed).

I'd rather hear a Billy Mays commercial for Oxiclean repeatedly before I hear another fucking Michael Jackson "story" any day of the week. I had to turn my TV off last weekend. I hate news channels.

Did Billy Mays molest children? Last I heard he didnt. I mean sure you wouldn't really hear about it and i'm sure if he did we'll find out soon enough. But as it stands right now, I'm sticking by that statement.

Michael Jackson was a very talented singer and performer, but it doesnt negate the fact of what he did off the stage.

He never had a childhood, so he built an amusement park in his backyard at an attempt to create what he never had. He then needed people to enjoy it with, since it'd be rather boring alone. So, he invited a bunch of kids to share in the fun. It doesn't mean he molested them.

If Michael Jackson was a child molester, he would have molested his own kids.

All those kids in Slumdog Millionaire...they didn't have childhoods either. We'll have to see if they dye their skin white, chop off their nose, and then hang around with kids in their bedroom when they get older.

I'm kind of split on this, I think he could have, I don't put it past him, but I don't firmly believe he did. Somebody posted a link to an old GQ article (supposedly) here and it has some interesting things in it.

I have no idea how credible that source is, but how much do I trust an average American to not try to go after somebody who's rich, pretty fucking weird and is a pretty easy target for a quick lawsuit/settlement? I could go either way on it.

When you bring up O.J., I pretty much just say guilty. I think there's a difference between the situations in that one went to trial and you could see all the cards both sides had on the table, but in the case with Michael, it's hard to just take what every magazine, tabloid and whatever else spit out. Just look at the news now, which is basically 99% sensationalism (I can make up stats too).

tl;dr - I wasn't there, I don't know if he did that shit, so I don't pass judgement on it. If he were alive today, I wouldn't leave my kids alone with him, just incase...
