Just saw this. Was unique and well done, a very clever take on zombies. The writing and acting was great for the most part- it's not startlingly scary or very gory, but it's creepy and mysterious with some good thrills.

Make sure you listen to the radio bits during the initial end credits.

8.5/10. Really enjoyed it.

Wonder if that means Netflix will have it. I've had that on my save list for a long long time.

Nope! Netflix can be lame for non-Hollywood films.

It had to have been released on DVD somewhat recently though, as I had checked a couple months ago and it was not available.

I have seen several indie films show up fairly quick on Netflix. It is usually around the same time that other places seem to have them available. There have also been some films that show available and then get moved to Saved for a time before being available again. I have wondered if there were some kind of distribution issues going on behind the scenes whenever that happened.

I've found Netfilx (streaming) to be a great source for independent films. I've been surprised by some of the movies I've found.

I ended up really enjoying this one. An interesting take on the genre. I can't really review this without giving away the plot, but I will say that for a low budget film (set in a rural Canadian town), it was very solid. Acting, makeup, lighting, sound and direction were all very well done.

The story alone was engaging enough for high marks. Not the BEST, as many have said, but certainly worthy of the buzz.

Heh, Pontypool is just an hour outside of Toronto.
Used to go skiing in that area when I was younger.
