The Hustler

One of the best movies I've ever seen, featuring some of the best dialogue I've ever heard. In the interest of sharing, I've included a 45sec clip in this post showing George C. Scott delivering a speech to Paul Newman.

Right Click Here and select "Save Target As..." to download TheHustler.avi

In this scene, note that the camera does not move off of Newman or Scott for the entire 45 seconds. If this film would have been made today, that same 45 second scene would have been shot with mass camera coverage, and edited into multiple 1 - 3 second cuts.

Not to mention that something would have blown up sometime during the scene :)

why do you even put the vote up? even when it's an eleventy billion to one vote on you s'ing tfu, you still continue to spam with worthless links to movie clips that only you seem to get off on. So what exactly is the point of the vote?

Because he doesn't know any better.

In addition, he is feeling attention deprivation.

w3rd.

Although I have to say The Hustler is a fine fucking movie, there was nothing special about that scene. They didn't hold shots that long back then either you know, and that particular scene wasn't held any longer than usual. Check out Kurosawa and other Asian directors for how to properly work a camera.

Paul Newman was mad fucking sexy in the 60's.

Trivia: The director of The Hustler was a member of the communist party in the Mcarthy era and named something like 150 other people in Hollywood as members.

I prefer the scene more for the dialogue than for anything.

I wonder how many of you voted before seeing the clip...

The dialogue is typical 1960's hollywood cheese.

People vote no in the vain hope you will get the point and fuck off forever.

When you've seen the movie like a thousand times, there is no need to watch the fucking clip.

The movie is great, the dialogue kicks ass, I would lick Paul Newman's sweaty ballsack. None of these things changes the fact that you are our punk; now shaddap and start sucking.

Wanna do something that'll interest me Searyx? Give us a clip of the car chase from Ronin

Hmm...that might be longer than 5mins...

I'll check it out.

By the way, which car chase are you thinkin' of?

Nevermind. Can't do it. Ronin doesn't have a Stereo track, and 5.1 tracks give fucked up audio.
