Too may subforums diluting the Vault?

Seems the number of posts here is in steady decline. Is this because of the slow and eventual loss of regular posters among other things.

Perhaps shutting down some of the various subforums will help to keep the conversations alive here.

Will adding more sub-forums make you disappear?

this post should have it's own forum.

in fact, there should be a forum for requests for new forums.

Where each request is its' own subforum that you must first get permission to create.

Every user should have their own forum

I agree that there are too many sub forums. Make all of these forums primary forums.

Another option would be one single forum, or further reduce VV to a single maxithread for everything with 1000 responses per page. I would vote against embedded YouTube videos with the last option.

I say lose the forums entirely and reimagineer VV into a small shoutbox.

These generalization about forums do not apply to all forums. To be fair, each forum should have a sub-forum dedicated to analyzing the usefulness of said forum and whether or not it should be put on the chopping block and/or merged with another forum, etc.
