Here's the first ad that started airing last night.

I'm pointing to the MS website cause the quality is a LOT better than Youtube.

I believe that their goal is to try and change the negative perception of the company as opposed to promoting a specific product.
I think the Ad is funny and works on a couple of levels.

Thoughts?

I haven't checked the link yet, but was this the ad with Seinfeld asking Bill Gates if computers would be yummy and able to be eaten in the near future? If so, I thought the whole "adjust your shorts" bit at the end was funny.

Bill Gates is an awful actor.

Saw it last night. Thought it was hilarious, but it did absolutely nothing with regards to my attitudes towards windows or vista or whatever.

I agree. It was funny but any opinion I have of MS is unchanged.

I thought the 2nd one was hilarious. I'm wondering how they're going to cut this down to tv-sized spots though.

If they keep making them, I'll keep watching them...but I'm not the target audience I imagine...I'm one of those people who won't touch anything apple. Best product at the best price, and that's almost always PC when it comes to almost anything.

Although, i would really hate to see those mac vs. pc commercials go away...I do so enjoy watching them.

Bill Gates is getting better.

I don't find either of the spots to be funny, but I'm still interested in seeing them. I like Gates and Seinfeld.

Funny thing is, it's perfect for Seinfeld... it's a marketing campaign about nothing.

I feel like this ad campaign would have worked out much better when Seinfeld was still being made and was hugely popular. A lot of the jokes/humor in it is the same style as Seinfeld (like Jerry saying the name of the shoe store, then "bill gates" out loud, but to himself), which many people probably forgot about or never saw.
