I downloaded this the other night, and I gotta say it's pretty good for a Canadian (I had to do it).

Really though, I like his style a lot and this album doesn't disappoint at all, definitely recommend it.

I thought about picking it up recently, but the only thing I "knew" about it was that it was related to Akon in some way. Was it done on his label, or were there are few songs with Akon on the album?

There is one song w/ Akon on the album, and at least one other that Akon produced but does not sing on. I wouldn't let that deter you, it's a great album with a couple of other good guest artists too, including one of my favorites groups - Clipse.

Canadian hip-hop has always been pretty terrible.
Kardinal Offishal has been at it since 96.
Nice to see his hard work finally paying off.

In addition to being pretty talented, he's a really fucking nice guy.
