Internet Packages

So I've recently moved and I'm debating what internet package I want to sign up for. I'm alittle ignorant as to what I would really need as far as download speeds go. Suddenlink advertises 3 different packages. 1mb, 8mb and 10mb. I know some people here are bandwidth whores, but I don't play MMO's anymore. My wife uploads a lot of photos to her photobucket etc but other than that I'm not looking for crazy download speeds. It seems to me that the best I've ever gotten before was like 1mb/sec download speed on my old provider. Is it worth the extra $13 a month to up it to the 8mb? I know I would never get that much speed due to website restrictions etc.

Just trying to get an idea of what package would give me the download speeds I'm used to.

I pretty much used to average between 600-900kps when downloading stuff. Which of these packages will get me there?

Thanks for any tips, help or additional knowledge!

Start with the cheapest.. if it's too slow, upgrade.

1Mbps seems pretty low these days even if all you do is surf the net. Pages take awhile to download and new sites aren't as conscious as older ones on their total size.

I'd go for the middle one at least.

Also, it doesn't matter what the down speed is for your wife uploading pictures. You need to find what the upstream is. I'd imagine it's hella (California term) slow for the 1Mbps plan.

It's so easy I'd feel like a jackass for doing it.

On a serious note, miir's suggestion is the smartest.
