Mötley Crüe - Saints of Los Angeles

So I'm not ashamed to admit that I sometimes like to rock out to some old school Mötley Crüe. A friend recently admitted to me that while he was a bit embarrassed to say so, their new album was growing on him. I took a listen, and it's actually not bad. It sounds a lot like their albums from the 80s, and has some catchy songs. If you're a fan of "Dr. Feelgood", "Kickstart My Heart", "Shout at the Devil" or "Girls, Girls, Girls", give it a listen. It's almost nostalgic, even though it just came out a couple weeks ago.

Don't forget "Live Wire"

If I recall correctly, which I probably don't, that's the song that kicked off their career.

wow, just checked the lyrics to that song. Here's part of them:

I'll either break her face
or take down her legs
get my ways at will
Go for the throat
never let loose
Goin' in for the kill
take my fist
break down walls
I'm on top tonight

Nikki used to be a great songwriter, but these days I just can't say I care for his writing. Between Sixx AM and this new CD, he just doesn't have the same storytelling abilities that he did before. The music is pretty good, however. Much, much better than the new Judas Priest.
