The commercial implies smoking pot will get you pregnant. I didn't know there were sperm in pot but I don't like it any less.

Nobody "missed" the message... it was a dumb ad.

The reality is alcohol, which is a legal substance (that kids can find just as easily as weed, if not more easily), is much more likely to lead to sex than marijuana.

The only message I got behind the ad is that it's pretty fucking stupid to place the blame for teen pregnancies on an illegal substance which is less dangerous (especially in this context) than booze which can be purchased over the counter... but what do I know, I only paid for it.

it's not normal to smoke weed and have sex unless you would be having sex in the first place without it.. the drug doesn't effect your judgement or your libido.

Pot makes you stupid for short periods. Watch someone who smokes weed every day/every other day and see what happens when they stop smoking for a month or two. Alchohol, once you sober up, the effects are gone. If you drink enough to cause damage, it's usually permanent. Brain cells don't come back, esophageal hemorrhages and stomach/digestive damage don't ever heal completely. And then there's the havoc you raise all around you.

I will agree that marijuana is much safer than alcohol to everyone around you. That includes whether you're driving or sitting around the house.

Truth is, I am actually in the middle on this debate. Where as I think we would all be better off if drugs were not such a big factor in society, that commercial was the most rediculous piece of crap I have ever seen on the subject. The audience they are trying to reach will dismiss this ad because it takes too much of a leap.

The ad says marijuana impares your judgement. Many things can happen when your judgement is impared. They are showing examples of them. You can argue till your blue in the face, but you might as well argue that water is not wet. It is wet. And yes, there are many other things that are wet also, but that is not the fucking point.

Marijuana is a great low level pain reliever, muscle relaxer and has several positive effects on a variety of mental disorders. Despite the current legal situation of it in some countries, others have tested it heavily. I know one person who is regularly issued vicodin, and even demerol, who prefers marijuana since it works without all the side effects.

My brother died October 30th, 2002 from a drug overdose. He was partying with friends, was too fucked up to drive, his friends drove him home, and he died alone. My sister found him the next day, dead on his bedroom floor.

How exactly are my parents to blame? I wanna try to explain to them that it's all their fault...because Matt's death totally turned their world upside down. I wanna explain to them how their bad parenting caused a 29 year old to die.
