I got my ass handed to me in all 4 leagues I am in. Two are cash leagues and then there is VV and another crap league that has 6 teams. It seems that all my players suddenly decided to play like shit if they played at all. I shouldn't say that it is their fault entirely though as the teams around them, namely Cleveland, Washington, and Giants to name a few didn't play as well as I would have hoped.

I have to calm myself with the thought that this is only the first week and things can only get better.

Okay, I am at a loss as to what I need to do in the NFC league. Two of my three RB's are flagged as "cannot cut." One has a bye this week (Joseph Addai), and the other is injured (Willie Parker). How do I fill my second RB Slot? Do I just let the game go through with only one and hope that the other players can make up the points lost from an empty position?

Cut a player that is not on the "cannot cut" list.

If I was you, I'd cut Anthony Gonzalez or Anthony Fasano. They're on their bye weeks. You don't need them. Plus, they're not very valuable. Pick them back up after Sunday.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- New York Jets safety Eric Smith was suspended for one game by the NFL on Monday for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

Smith was also fined $50,000 by the league for what it called a flagrant violation of player safety rules. In a statement, the NFL said Boldin was in a defenseless position at the time contact was made.
Looks like Boldin will be OK.

if you are unban cart then you can still beat me.

This shit is getting old. I have the third highest total in the league, yet every week someone has a great week against me. This week the team has 3 players not playing, then his running backs go off for almost 70 points.

Sitting at 2-7 sucks when you are scoring a lot of points every week, losing 1 game by .5 points, one week scoring 20+ points more then everyone...except the team I am playing. sigh.

sorry just kind of frustrated.

Whoever owns Unban Cart would be like 6-3...perhaps 7-2 before this week if they took 30 seconds a week to update their roster.

Tyek you'll win, but only because Unban Cart had 2 players on Bye and was still playing Derek Anderson after he was benched a week before the game last Thursday (While Drew Brees, who is the best FF QB this season is on the bench). :)

Advice please.

Do I play
Braylon Edwards against the Bills on Monday Night

Or

Muhsin Muhammad against the Lions on Sunday

I just can't shake the feeling that Edwards is due to break out especially on Monday Night but he has been such a let down all year. Also with Brady Quinn loving to throw to Winslow instead of a reciever that makes it even worse for Edwards. Yet he is projected to score fairly well.

The problem with Muhammad is that Steve Smith is on the other side. Also, against Detroit everyone knows that you have greater success against their run defense. However two of their best backs are injured this week.

I just can't decide.

Man, that's a tough one. Edwards is really hard to bet on for anything right now, even sucking, since he's due up for a big game. But can the Browns recover from last weeks "quitting" stuff? I also feel like the Lions are bound to win a game one of these weeks, probably against a team they have no right beating.

Normally I would choose based on this: Which receiver has the higher average fantasy points a week, which receiver is playing against the team who gives up more passing yards per week, and which receiver has the biggest upside this week. Based on those three things, I make a call. I didn't look at any of the numbers, but I would probably go with Edwards.

Ironically I have the exact same decision to make.

I'm going with Muhammad myself. (of course it doesn't matter since I'm playing Unban Cart who never updates his roster). Though even if he did...I wouldn't play Edwards....he's burned me too many times this season with 1-2 point games. Yeah, eventually he'll have another big game, but the 4-5 games you try and play him in the meantime will be a big waste.

Ok I really deserve a loss today.

Stupid overthinking. Ryan Grant has been pretty crappy for me all week. He is playing Chicago who destroyed Chris Johnson on me last week. So in classic overthinking mode I add The Law Firm BenJarvis Green-Ellis since he seemed to be doing well and move Grant to the bench.

Result - Grant has his best game of the year. Almost 18 points in the first half already.

Green-Ellis - .09 points total

LOL I really do suck.

Yeah benching Edwards bite me hard and cost me a win. Not because he did so well and muhammad didn't do so well but because my other reciever I had in was Lee Evans. All I needed was 30 yards from the guy. Not much to ask from an elite reciever. Dear lord not a single catch since the first throw in the game, to him even, was picked off.

LOL Taison's RB's get 8 touchdowns and mine gets hurt with 39 yards.

Last week another running back of mine got hurt with 37 yards. My Cleveland Steamers really do suck.

hah...Yeah I kind of felt bad for you on Thursday when I was watching the Titans/Lions game and thought "I wonder who has Johnson..." and I see he's on your bench...thought "ouch..".

That's the story of my season though...either whoever I'm playing has one of their worst games or they play well and I have some player put up ridiculous stats.

At least one of my teams made the playoffs. It is hard to finish 5-9 when you have the 3rd highest total points and the 4th highest is 107 points behind you.

So my AFC team which didn't score as many points will have to try and keep me going.

I dropped most of my productive players for any teams that need them.

I didn't think the league would let you, I am surprised. Some people take these leagues really seriously (I don't think anyone in our groups see them as anything but fun) so I figured that would be locked.

DOH, forgot there was a game tonight. Was going to move Pierre into Barber's spot and forgot. He ends up with 30 points. I sure hope Marian plays now.

heh...I don't take this seriously or anything, but that isn't very cool. It kind of defeats the purpose of the system.

Do that in a cash league and you'll be minus a couple kneecaps.

If it was a cash league, I wouldn't have done it. I did the same thing last year, but I was deep in the playoffs and I don't think anyone noticed.
