Long Range Mouse/Keyboards?

I've been trying to find a good long range (20+ feet) mouse/keyboard without much luck. I picked up a Rocketfish Bluetooth via USB dongle a couple days ago at Bestbuy, however it seems the mouse has some jerkiness to it when trying to move smoothly across the desktop. This also translates into jerky motion when using the mouselook in games. The keyboard also has a slight delay but not as noticeable as the mouse.

I had a Logitech radio mouse I think MX1000 or something a hew years ago, but it only had 5-6 foot range if that... though it was very precise, not like this Rocketfish combo.

So does anyone else have any experience with long/extended range mouse/keyboards? What do they use to communicate? (Bluetooth 2.0, Radio, Infrared?)

I really would like something that didnt have much if any latency and was very smooth when moving across the desktop, not jerky.

What size monitor are you using from 20 feet away?

my first cordless was pretty damn good on range. And the 'pickup' it's self had a long cord, wich you could move closer to you. 20' is a bit long though. It was a cheapo logitech set.

My new cordless mouse. the reciever plugs into the keyboard, so no clue on range... ;)

57" Samsung LN-T5781F LCD TV. Won it from a local radio station/Best Buy promotion 2 months ago. Should have just sold it, bought a new PC and a 46" screen... oh well, lol.

Anyway, I watch TV on it from an average of 15-20 feet away. It sits on one side of the living room and I am on the opposite side if on the couch, from the recliner I sit around 6-10 feet from the screen to play the Xbox360.

The computer is in the far corner of the living room, so even in the recliner I am at least 10-12 feet from the computer and the couch is prolly 18-20 feet away.
