Heritage Quests

Post by Canelek »

Which of these should I begin working on? Looks like most are rather complex. However, if there are some "must-haves", I want to get started and have a clearer picture of where I want to be leveling as I approach 70.

Currently 64 w/ 74 AA.

thanks!

PS: All of the guild chatter w/ item links from raids makes me itchy.

Also, The GRATS LVL 74 FOH ding noise scared the fuck out of me.

I ran through the Haddon's Earring(fishbone) last night. It took a while since I had to do the access quest to open up Nektropos basement.

I also got started on Raincaller, which is a pretty sweet bow. I will need help for that one for sure (there are named involved, Ash (lfay I think)!

However, it requires 245+ forestry, and mine is around 100, so it may be a while before I get that leveled up. :D

CoF - I can't seem to find the quest in my journal. I must have looted the 4th warrior or whatever collectible from a mob in lFay, because I got a duplicate last night saying I had already added it. Am I overlooking it in my collection journal or do I just need to plod along until I find new chest drop notes?

Sylvos told me Rain Caller was broken. bah!

The following NODROP pages from An Old Memoir/Snuffing The Fireknight must be collected for the first step of the HQ:

Page 1: Lesser Faydark
Page 2: Lesser Faydark
Page 3: Lesser Faydark
Page 4: Loping Plains
Page 5: Loping Plains
Page 6: New Tunaria
Page 7: New Tunaria
Page 8: Mistmoore Catacombs
Page 9: Mistmoore Catacombs
Page 10: Kaladim
Page 11: Kaladim

After you do that superfun step of the quest, talk to Juna Crankfizz on BB docks.

I have spent a fuckton of time in Loping Plains and Kaladim now. I still need pg 10 from Kaladim and page 4 from LP. Both are reluctant to drop! :D

Did manage to run through FBSS quest. Took a few hours, but really was not too bad.

Currently working on Rain Caller. Since my faction was not so good in Kelethin, and my forestry was fucked, I had to spend some time chopping firewood. Due to faction with the moth-princess, I had to kill King Klak.

I did that part solo, although the Crimson Vanquisher guy was a pain in the balls. Light green to me @ 58 (I am 67), the Vanquisher has a nasty stun to level out punishment while you are helpless. I did finally manage to beat him on 4th try or so (had some unlucky openers first few times as well as a lag-pull that brought friends.

This was actually pretty fun, but a pita. The guards were all light green as well ^^^. So, it took a bit of time to clear, and do power cell destruction in order to open up the main boss area.

King Klak and the power core guy at the end were easy--took longer to kill each guard imo. It was kind of funny to see the little gnome running around after the core was destroyed.Took me a few minutes to remember to kill him too.

The ornate chest drop yielded fuckall, but I was stoked to be able to get all the extra AA exp.

Canelek - I should hopefully be back on tonight and maybe we can do some more killing. I'm still in LP. I did a bunch of quests there the other night when you weren't on, but still working on a few. We can go try to get you the missing pages if you just want to go on a kill spree, I could use the exp and I can pick up the dupes.

Right on man. We can burn through the LP quests and maybe try some of the heroic ones. Would be cool to get you caught up! I had a ton of free time last weekend so I ended getting a bunch of exp in Bonemire. I also managed to fuck up my AA allocation; copying someone that had posted on eq2flames and not realizing that that spec was for lvl70-80.... those 50 points fill up quick! =/

Managed to snag pg 10(CoF) from Kaladim last night thanks to Ash and Elkay(that dude knows how to clear a path!).

Still need to spend more time there to get the page for Ash, but we were doing pretty well even before Elkay showed up.

Earlier, I went over to NT, but could not find the "market" area that Kilmoll directed me to. I ended up going to some higher-level cliff-like area around a lake and proceded to get molestered by many, many ^^^ walking rocks. :D WTF is the market?

The market is down pretty much at the center of the zone. Not sure exactly how to describe it....will probably have to take you there. I will most likely be doing some ubar killing tonights so we can give it a shot. Just be careful since I don't know much about my classes.

That's my role... and poor Dogdog. He's worth summoning if only for the bonuses/haste he provides... and damage he does is pure gravy.

Elkay was a champ to mentor down and clear to the Kobold Aristocrats room past all the bugbears. That place was pure yellow^^^ assrape to me at 62. I'm surprised we lasted as long as we did. Glad page 10 dropped in all that mess to make the glorious wipe all the more worthwhile.

I am guessing they messed with droprates at some point because from what I have read, pg 10 is supposed to be 'uncommon' and 11 'rare'.

We'll get in there again to knock yours out. You still need pg 5 from LP as well?

After that, we will need NT and MMC of course...maybe we can get some others in on those so we can have a decent time and not get assraped by trash mobs. :D

What else can we mix in? Aren't there some Tenebrous Tangle heroic level shits or something? Let's compare quest logs and see if there is something worth doing.

I know that there is the Wurmslayer heritage quest up in sky....not sure how hard that one is.

Page fucking 8. It's gotta drop sometime!

Ash - I owe you bigtime man. Find yourself a stormfeather-like-campfest and I am there!

Kilmoll - Got a chance to run MMC? I can't thank you enough for the help you have already given. Some extra beatdown will sure help though! Ash and I are limited in how deep we can go there and have no chance of killing vamps, as we are now.

Manastone! (looks easy on the outside)

lol, I don't mind helping you camp the pages man. It's experience and I know how important haste is for a melee class. If you give up, you're less effective than you could be at DPS. If we get lucky we might get some masters that you didn't already buy (and the good mystic ones are expensive!)

The haste for a swash is going to be moot for you at some point. I actually liked that cloak for the stats/power/HP as much as the haste it gives. I find that in most groups anymore that I am hitting 250+ regularly on haste....which prompted me to even drop the AGI ring. My personal high was over 400 and I think we figured out that a swash can hit 500 haste in the right group.....although you have to keep in mind the cap is 200.

Dude...as soon as I get any free time to not be doing epics for people I am there in MMC for you. Between Venril and all the deep Chardok/Sebilis stuff I am always knee deep in crap. I left my warden off at the spot directly after the turn in....so I figure I can do the steps after that with you.

Awesome man, thanks!

At this point it is all about finishing, regardless of cloak stats. There will be much celebrating. :D

As far as haste--I can get in the 150-170 range between inkie innorruuk 30-sec buff, FBSS, agi ring, Finessee and DOGDOG. I took Swash line for finesse timer reduction, which is nice as well.

I am pretty much perma-camped on bats in MMC, with breaks to town to restock/repair. When Ash is on, we can crawl to the first ledge after the rival werewolf factions and generally get assraped if we get more than 2 ^^^. Luckily, we do get some decent chest drops from time to time, but obviously, have had no luck on the page yet.

You guys rock!

You also get the self-buff that procs the hate+haste....Spurious Bravado I seem to recall that it is something like 60ish haste for me and it procs non-stop. Gets cancelled when you take dmg, but it is almost always up. In all honesty you will probably wear that cloak until VP unless FoH drops down and does t7 zones...which they should just for an easy night with some drops you may still all use.

Not bad--I had forgotten about that quest, so was wondering why I was getting updates last night.

My current hat (Executioner's Hood or something) has better overall stats, but I will certianly keep that one for the +crit!

What kind of food did you want again? I don't want to foget before I leave acornville to head back to Page8fuckarini (MMC).

Via guild chat, it looks like those smoldering things for AA mirror are on the cheap, so I will grab one for you also and see if we have someone online to commission for us.

I just want good health/power regeneration. The store bought food sucks, but it's what I've been using (trail mix and oasis refreshers from the Court of Blades merchant currently). That said, I don't want something that's so powerful and expensive that I have to remember to swap in different food/drink when not actively fighting.

As for Tinkering, like Canelek, I've been trying to maximize the killing and questing when online. I haven't left MMC since I ran there the other night.

let me put it to you like this....you can tinker from 0-max in about 2 days if you have the stuff to grind with. You can also use macros to do it while you are afk if you are not stupid. Put a crafting table in your apartment and run it a couple hours while you are doing something else.

The items you can make are simply incredibly usefull in the raiding environment. Being able to FD or pop a 20% mana item can be enormous.

Drinkwise...don;t worry about it. I will mkae you both a stack of the 5+ hour stuff. I will just give Cane what I use and find some wisdomy/staminay thing for Ash.

On Guk even the low level stuff was comparatively cheap. Alternatively you can make a noob and harvest in the starting colony like I did and just drop the shit in your shared bank slots. You can actually level all the way to 400 with tier 1 junk if you really want to. The updates really go fast if you are making stuff that is fairly challenging.

I think I spent 10 plat or so total doing 1-400 and I did nothing but sell the crap back to the vendors to get back fuel costs. I would spend 10 plat again on that in an absolute heartbeat.

There's a shitton of T1 ore nodes around Gorowyn so you don't even need to make a noob to get the loam you need.

Has been months since I did it. It was cheaper to do it on higher end products so I continally moved up to even con items. I do know one of our guildies did it solely on tier 1 junk that he auto harvested while we raided.

Finally got page 8, yay! Also got it for Ash.

I did my turn in for collection, and picked up the 3 new quests from the NPC in BB Docks. Are the new quests fit to duo with me (70 Swash) and Ash (64 Mystic)? I believe the named are 70^^^, but that can be very subjective! Will probably try anyways. :) Tried to find the museum area in New Tunaria with no luck--just ended up in market trying to get some pages for Ash.

The armor and sword are in the building just south of the mountain area from where we are in the Market (but before the castle). Not far at all!

Managed to get through the first 3 subquests thanks to Kilmoll's Warden. I then tackled 2/3 of the next subquests solo. Now, I need to do some shit in MMC again...then that is all! :D Cool thing is we can knock out a quest for Ash in MMC....just need extra help since part of the next set of quests involved the head butler room.

That's awesome man! You know I'm there for MMC. I still need to kill 9 more Blightbeasts and then turn in for the werewolf killing quest (and I know one of your quests has you killing 10 werewolves, 10 gargoyles etc.).

Since I got on late and you were deep in Solusek's Eye, I ran through the first several Deity Quests for The Tribunal. I got the little executioner looking dude that follows me and grants me like +twenty-something wisdom. The sad irony is I didn't kill a single thing all night, so the only experience I got was from the quests and from discovery AA, as I had to run/swim/fly all over Timorous Deep.
