Apparently Gateway just came up with a 1600p monitor/tv.

Was that the wrong link?

720p
1080i
1080p
576i
576p
Unless I was missing something else on that page.

At the top it says "HD Video Support 1600p (4xHD)"
When you scroll down it says "Video Resolutions Supported" and lists those options that boog quoted.

It will never be mainstream, except for computer monitors. There will never be a 1600p standard, the next standard after 1080p is 2160i/p. It's aspect ration is 16:10 instead of 16:9, so black bars will occur on tops and bottom. Furthermore, Gateways comparison between the monitors is an out right lie in many cases.

Meh. If you want a TV buy a TV. If you want a moniter, buy a moniter.
