Claim it was self defense.
His pure existence being so close to you was harming both the oxygen you inhaled and dissolving your brain

Getting right up in someone's face should be considered assault to begin with IMO. At that point in a confrontation you are basically asking to get slugged and an invitation like that shouldn't be against the law.

Treks coworker didn’t get his daily mocha latté enema and then shenanigans ensued.

Yup. And the initial blow in no way should be considered a "sucker punch".

Nope, no sucker punch, at the time I handed my glasses to another co-worker should be a clue

Edit: I also used the 'I couldnt see clearly and thought he was attacking me at that moment excuss'

I can't believe you would punch Janaki :(

Heh heh, Jan was my nieghbor. His wife is still pissed at me for hooking him on EQ back on beta .5

Hmm if the face is less than 12 inches from yours, and is not of the opposite sex and hot, then you should legally be able to slug it, following a 15 second warning.

Posted: January 21, 2003, 10:57 am
by Cotto
15 seconds is too long. The whole .5 second of your fist flying through the air is considerable warning enough

Bah, just blame it all on the voices in your head. Blame it on the widespread violent television and video games that you are addicted to and cant quit. Its societies fault for your actions.

Sounds like a good defense to me :P

I did watch 'Titanic' with tthe wife the night before, this incident could be a residual effect

Hmm blame it on EQ, fighting is the answer to almost every problem in EQ. Therefore Sony made you do it.

You people are to violent! Violence is not the answer!

Violence may not be the answer you are looking for sir, but it makes me feel a whole hell of a lot better. Especially when the offending party begs for some kind of mercy. I may not be able to beat you up with words, but my chainsaw can end most conflicts in an agreeable manner. (for my side that is)

Its amazing how little distance keyboard bullying goes when your face to face =)

So you work with Kyoukan?

I have little doubt that Kyoucan, has never held the working end of a chainsaw =)

BTW, I dont work. I have fun. I tear things apart piece by piece, Then through whatever resources available, I persuade said things to do what I want. It may not be what its "supposed" to do, But as long as I am happy thats all that matters =)

( I am a Mechanic )

I don't know what you're talking about. Keyboards make VERY effective weapons, assuming you have a quality model, and not one of those $5 specials that break upon first contact with face!

I suppose you could cause some damage there. Problem being, the cord would hamper the follow through. =)

Heh, well they got that stupid warning label on keyboards that say:

"Some experts believe that the use of any keyboard may cause serious injury."

So maybe they did have this use in mind? :D

I guess QWERTY face now has a new meaning, this actually may lead to better ergonomic use, unless of corse you bash the same way repeatedly using improper form

ROFL! I was just asked to come back to work after we all have a sit down meeting ( oh how I love meetings ). After we get the me-him thing straightened out I believe I will ask for a raise

Damn, with all the fighting going on at your work I hope someone still remebered to make more Big Macs!

Fighting is only a temp solution anyway. Killing takes care of things for good. Just some words to the wise!

On a serious note, anyone have a prediction how a video like this would go over in court? ie: Man A gets an guy B's face an is cussing him out or whatever. Guy B beats up guy A.

If it was jury, B would probably win, since we've all been in that situation. A judge would propbably rule in guy A's favor since he has to prove the point that violence is never the answer or something like that.

Regardless, sorry to hear about your troubles Trek. How exactely will you explain to your next boss how you lost your current job? No nice way to put it really

I do not need to use it to obtain work, its just a job to pay for my new truck while I go back to school. Any reference to this job would not make it to my resume.....unless I become a bouncer
