Let the flames commence.
Im more of a Pink Floyd fan than any of you. I know their history, the personal history, and my overal basis for Pink Floyd music I tend to like. Roger Waters is much less concerned with quality and more concerned with the 'message' portrayed in his songs. The reason he and David Gilmour split up is because Roger Waters started to lack real soul in their albums (specifically around the time they recorded The Wall). David Gilmour tends to have much more soul in his music, in my opinion.

I'm posting because I have seen a stupid thing that I feel I need to comment on, if you couldn't be assed reading, ignore...

Why on earth did you need to state this. Still, for all I know you could be telling the truth, you are indeed the biggest Floyd fan here.
However, surely Floyd wanted their music to penitrate this sort of need in music for people to compare dick sizes. I assume, (all assumption) they wished to spread joy, have fun and let people hear the lovely noises they make and not constantly bloat their heads telling people everything they know.
The music speaks for itself. If you were getting the idea behind Floyd, or for that matter any proper band, none of those pricky sucky my dicky 'NSYNC' faggots, you would realise that saying 'I'm a Floyd fan, is all that needs to be said.

When I say Im more of a Pink Floyd fan than you, I insanely mean it despite its nonchalantness. However it is a bit excessive Im sure there are more PF fans out there that are a lot like me. But in all its opinion orientedness - stating that Roger Waters > David Gilmour automatically shuts you out of being an uber PF fan because you have no idea how much of a control freak he turned into and how much shutting out the band he did near the end of their career. Much more of a hatred thing on my part than a 'Im better than you' thing. Roger Waters did write a bunch of cool shit though, just not much of it had real soul, like I said before. Dont reduce my post size to one single statement, such as 'Im a bigger Pink Floyd fan than you'.
