I'm guessing it was probabaly staged. I realize she can't be too intelligent, but there's no way she's that dumb. It's a great way to get publicity for an artist that is reletively unknown outside of the country music indistry.

I'm going to have go with staged as well. The entire clip looked extremely scripted. She might really be dumb as a fucking brick, but every line she delivered sounded like feigned stupidity to me.

I think her stupidity was genuine. Sad, tragic, pathetic.. and genuine. Let's put it this way. Either she was so stupid she thought Europe was a country and wasn't sure if France was one, or she was stupid enough to agree to make herself look like a paste-eating simpleton in front of the entire world. Either way she's dumb as a fucking rock.

Her comment about speaking French "there" was referring to Europe, not Budapest.

Honestly I don't think its staged. I personally have hick relatives who think Europe is a country. Trying to explain to them where Eric and I went when we spent a couple weeks in Belgium (and surrounding regions) was embarrassing. Quite a few of them thought Belgium was either in France, England or Amsterdam (which of course they thought was a country lol)...
