Avestan is the correct answer. He owns that site.

I never "owned" it :)

I left Zazzle about a year ago to go back to school and just launched the company we have been working on for the last 6 months last night.

Go make money! If you hate it, don't tell me.

That may be worse than just hating it.

We are building the next generation of information gathering / surveying where we share the earnings with participants based on how accurate they are in predicting future events.

So if a political campaign wanted to gather a distribution of beliefs about the outcome of a future election, they can ask the question, we collect responses, distill them, and give them actionable data. On the other side, if you predict so-and-so will make 41% of the vote in that election and you nail it, you will make a good chunk of money.

There is a lot more stuff there wrt expert identification and providing incentives for long-term consistent behavior, but maybe that at least gets you over the initial hurdle.

Interesting idea... I wish you the best. I'd suggest finding a way to get as many cheap (but not $0) short-term questions as possible to engage people on an almost daily basis... it's amazing what people will do even for $5.

Created an account there and "predicted" all the current questions. At the end, I had 70 community points, nothing major I imagine..but some sort of progress none the less. Anyway, I changed my avatar and all my points went poof...is this standard or just a bug you overlooked? Also, add a next page option to the top of the listings as well as a jump to page function for easier browsing. Other than that, it's a pretty cool idea and I hope it takes off well. If there is anything I can do to assist, you know where to find me.

It is a bug that we fixed yesterday but have not yet pushed live. PM me your username and I will get your points added back.

Damn Av, gratz on the business. I signed up and got through a few questions before the site started getting a bit flakey. I was getting the Uh oh, and error occured pages. I know it isn't the finished polished product, at least I hope not, but there are some features you might want consider.

The remember me is always nice. Also when you get done picking on a question it takes you back to the first page instead of returning you to the next unaswered question. That gets annoying after getting past the first page. The site also times out pretty fast after being idle for a few minutes. That forces you to relog, which brings me back to the remember me aspect.

Just some thoughts. I have it in my favorites. I'll check it often so long as it gets updated.
