I'm guessing it's the Miss Teen South Carolina's mental diarrhea?

I hadn't heard anything about it. He sent me this first: http://www.mapsforus.org/
Which I thought was mildly amusing as a social commentary. When it became obvious that it was only remotely amusing to me, he asked if I'd seen the speech she gave. After seeing/hearing what she had to say, I found it much more entertaining.

I liked Glenn Beck's take on this... that no matter what the question was, she was trying to fit in her concern about Iraq and South Africa...
People don't have maps? are you joking?... I also don't believe the questions statistic that 20% of the population can't find the US on a world map.

It does warm my heart to know we still have hot and stupid 18 year old girls in America to keep those strip clubs up and running.

Re: US Edumakation at its finest
Would you believe that Memphis tried to get an exemption to standardized tests because
I completely believe that 20% of the US population can't find the US on a World map.
Research shows that seven out of ten students, could and will fail the Gateway Exam even after passing all of their required courses. The failure penalty of this test will result in Tennessee students not being able to receive their high school diplomas.

The point of the article was to blame the resources available to the school. The great part was that instead of trying to get better teachers or better attention for the students, Memphis wanted to get rid of the tests. Yeah, we don't care that our kids are dumbfucks, just let 'em have diplomas. My wife's mother lived outside of Memphis and used to call us to let us know the wonders of the Memphis School system.

I don't feel you emphasized this link well enough in the original post. I know I didn't click on it.Somali wrote:I hadn't heard anything about it. He sent me this first: http://www.mapsforus.org/
CLICK ON THAT LINK, IT'S KIND OF FUNNY.
My favorite's including the map to One-Eyed Willie's Treasure, and the map detailing the relationships between the people in R Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet".

Slightly outdated map of Azeroth as well.

I'm sure there are plenty of ugly people that would give equally whacky responses if given the chance. We need more Ugly Contests to test the theory.

The West Wing clip someone posted was funny. I never watched the show, but I might need to look into adding it to my queue:

Maybe it's just an issue with Miss * contestants:

Yeah, it's in German, but I think you should be able to get the jist of it in the early minutes. They are taking a map of Germany, and mapping where the East/West border was...but somehow pulled Bavaria into old East Germany's borders...when they even managed to have the map of Germany turned in the right direction.
