Maybe I'm sick, but I've been leaving on the spam notification so i can watch the dumbasses fail.

Have you taken a look at any of the plat selling spam messages lately?

They are completely incomprehensible... bizzare punctuation and random words that have nothing to do with plat selling or powerleveling. They try to bypass the spam filter by using random spaces and spelling out their URL with ascii characters... but it still gets blocked.

Yeah, it's a pretty damn good filter. I am impressed. The only thing that gets annoying is when people "fake" spam in channels. It gets, or used to get, sent to you as a tell.

The Dev that designed the spam filter actually hangs out in my guild's private chat channel. It was funny as shit to see some of his messages to us get blocked as spam in the channel. The filter is pretty complex and would block the exact same message from some of us and not from others. So far it has blocked an extremely high percentage of the garbage those idiots would send.

I wonder if it's an adaptive filter or if someone is montoring/babysitting it.

all he will say is that it is an algorithym that should continue to block them without much in the way of modification. I know he has made tweaks to it since they added it though.

So far I have had good luck with it myself. VERY glad they added it.

I have spam tells piped to an unused chat tab... last night in about 4 hours I received 23 blocked goldseller spam tells.
