Baby Salamanders are 51-62

Grown up salamanders are 71-78 I think.

Kwon's picture is in the desert so it's probably a 71-78 Salamander.

I may be a level or two off on the numbers.

I like the desert so far. I started poking a few of the sallymanners last night before I logged out. The only issue I would have is when the named guy would link in to whatever I pulled without me realizing it and I'd have to kite around because he'd eat more than half my life before I realized it wasn't a "normal" mob.

Southern Ceriu-Desert is great, Just ride west from M2 and you get there quick.

The Sallys are still young, (58-63) with their boss Crown Sweetpants.

If you travel to the northern/northwest part of the Desert, you will face the grown up Sallys which can be more of a hassle (70+).

Desert is great since if you want a Sally card, all the creatures that live in the South Area are Sallies. No Lydians, No Piralhuke etc, just Sallies :D

Dinged 52 last night, and I've having fun with the dual axes, but I have to say, I don't mow things down with the proficiency of yer woman Kwon. Part of it may be her superdeeawesomes EvoSkellie pet, but she really is a force of nature with those damn axes.

Well, she has a few extra levels (she's 55 now) than you Soma and that lvl 68 Skelly pet.

She is mostly using the Blue Pixie now tho so DPS is reduced :)

I started buying and selling salamander cards and so far i have made 12mil doing that. I'm glad kwon found that card cause till then I had no idea what they could be bought and sold for. I got outbid on a +3 taming card sadly enough, would have taken all the money i made from sala's and eggs and would have wiped me out to about 35k left or so but in the end I got outbid by some wacky guy willing to pay 62mil for the +3 card while I could only get to about 44mil. I guess you win some and you lose some. Anyways ill be on tonight!

PS kwon i saw that circlet again but it was 10mil still. i think it was a +2 or +3 /8 i think. If you see +3 or more r3 hunter armor and +3 or more r3 2h axe it would be much appreciated.

I forgot to add I was telling you about my dogs the other night, you can see them in my photoalbum here http://joshwatts.myphotoalbum.com/albums.php

53 Now.

I may have to take up the buy low sell high scheme for sally's too. I expected the prices to drop a lot with an influx of cards for the SS promotion they have at the cash shop, but the opposite seems to have happened.

dude smuggling sallymanners is the new technology. people seem to want to sell them for 20-25 but yet people want to buy them for 30+!! this is where my smuggling expertise comes in! I was doing that for so many cards stones jewlery etc but the profit wasnt as awesome as the sallys. i scrimped and horded all i could for those goober taming cards but in the end the price keeps going beyond my means meh. 62mil for a +3 indeed. I wub my dogs more than anything and ya they make themselves at home for sure. Its like im the saint bernards butler or something since he always barks at me when he wants to have more water or food ,going outside or going back in lol. they are both just as sweet as they can be.

I joined this MMO thingy since it's 100% more free than other MMORPGs. I have some level 12-13 cleric named Lappoy on Bahumat. So far it's been pretty damn easy.

I do dislike that my character looks like some fruitcake out of Final Fantasy, but it was either that or have my virtual self wear panties.

Send me free shit :)

I picked up a r3 +8/10 2 handed axe yesterday for 16mil, did I overpay for that? anything over +5 seems to be fairly rare so I thought i would go for it. My pet ShaRaki hits harder then i do now lol.

I'd call that a pretty decent deal really. There is some potential that you could have gotten for less, but +6 and above weapons don't hit the market much.

Sold My +10/60 Pantera (Paid 5/sold 10) and the 57 non OB'd Skel (Paid 22/Sold27), bought and sold a +10/70 Chicken (P:8/S:10), bought a +10/61 Pantera for 6.

Pantera: He gets hit. Frequently... Wound lick and heals are really the only thing keeping this thing going through the dungeon, but he really does pound the crap out of mobs. It may have been a difference in weapons, but my +3/6 2H Mace wielding Panther tanked against my duo partners +10/61 Orc. I didn't ask what the orc was using. It may have been a shitty weapon.

Skeleton: The 57 (evo2, but no OB) Skeleton was on par with the +10/60 Pantera overall. The Skeleton has much better survivability to tank boss mobs (Duo'd Kerero with a cleric when I was 34. Cleric was full mana at end of fight), while the Pantera's wound lick makes him a never ending machine to chew through standard DP mobs (up to 45 safely).

Chicken: F'ing sux unholy ass. Do not use this pet to tank for a lowbie job. I suppose it could have been just the chicken I had. Every time I had him do a special attack, he would perform the attack, then stop attacking and run his lazy ass back to me being beat upon the whole time. (chicken did not have peck, I'm referring to the stun and slow abilities)

Right now I'm looking for a +10/60 Turtle. I'll pay up to 8M for a +10/60+ or 14M for an +10/80+ as long as it has some open points or at least on level of Wound Lick.
I'd also pay up to 35M for a +10/60 Orc or 30M for a +10/60 Skel if anyone finds one.

Notes: Using a pet that is much higher level than your current character decreases the pets stats. When I equipped the 70 Chicken on my 53 Champ, he had 113 evasion. When I did so on my 30ish Spell Singer he had 68. HP/MP and other stats scale similarly. So the stats scale with the level of the user.

No I'm told that is available at lv80. Even then, the stun would have to be like 75% of the time to make the chicken worth it for me. the fact that active skills disengage the mob from battle was an extreme annoyance.

The kitty is my overall choice for grinding so far, but I want to try an Orc, and I'd like to see how a Turtle/Yeti stacks up too.
I do think a Skel is helpful for soloing named, so I'm still looking for one of those as well.

Soldier, either dual swords or 2hander. 2hander has Knockback later and can stun with Judgement Buster!

I saw Naala in the Deva city, but even though I'm char level 20 I still haven't figured out how the fuck to send people tells.

Ash (Lappoy the Cleric in Rappelz)

P.S. Do clerics ever get to wear armor or are they a freaking cloth class like Wizards? I feel like a fruitcake running around in my knee-socks and mini skirt as a guy while wielding this huge mace.

you use " to send tells.
like:
"Lappoy this would be how I send you a tell in game.

And yay I'm back from out of town so I'll be on getting some XP for mah leetle Spell Singer Tonight methinks.
I could be easily convinced to play the Fighter instead if the 50+s are interested in doing stuff as well.

And yeah clerics have low PDef armor from what I can tell. Pretty much the only classes that get access to high P.Def armor are Fighters, Holy Warriors, and Striders. Those classes have armor with more PDef and less M.Def.

Through 50, i believe your armor will be primarily cloth looking. I believe 80+ you get some non-cloth looks.

Hey Kwon,

Can you keep an eye out for some +8 or +12 R3 Rings for me? +6/6 str Vit would be ok too.

Having fun with my Champion again. The tent ran out on mini Oyo. I found a steal on a set of +7 eternity swords too, so I may poke around with Mythlon a lil bit sometime in the future as well. Then again I'm still thinking of turning him into a soldier... mebbe I just keep plugging along with Oyo. the Dragon armor looks nifty anyway

Lv 56 now. I found a Forces of the Ground R3 Champ Armor, so I'm purple instead of pink. I also managed to find a +8 Vit Ring, but I'm still looking for some +12s or +6/+6 str/vit rings (Hopefully under 4M each).
Other stuff I'm looking for and will pay for should anyone find for me:
+7/10 or better R3 2H mace in the 14-15M range
+7/10 or better R3 1H axe in the 12-14M Range
+10/85+ turtle in the 30-40m Range.
+10/85+ Yeti or Orc in the 90M Range. If they happen to be selling off the R4 Armor/weapon with it thats a bonus. Extra bonus if the R4 Armor Weapon is Gaia Warrior armor.

+12 Vita rings (Ring of Stout) is the new hottest thing for a Tank/Beefcake Somali! :D

Me, Zarrah and Nickie trioed Cryptic Autopsy-boss and soon we be trying Burzom! :D

Anyone tried Burzom earlier? Opinions? Huge assload of Hp prolly but any AEs? Looks like a Derakor Vindicator fight.

With Oyo and Naala we could prolly try Carni next

I was in two groups last night. The first group was mid 50's. 1 Knight, 2 Archer, 1 Champ (me), and a 52 Cleric. We sliced through Burz like hot butter, buuut. the 52 Cleric did dump about half her mana into me and the Soldier. I didn't track if I was the damage sponge or the Knight. It could have been even. I'm pretty sure the Knight was using stun abilities, because she was a mace knight. Also I've noticed Offense Breaker does make a HUGE difference though. I've fought Burz without the Deva warriors before and taken a good deal more damage. We could definitely do this with Nickie as cleric.

The next pt I was in was 1 priest(55), 1 bishop(57), 1 DM(60), 1 Soldier, 2 Champ, 1 Knight, and a 2H Axe Fighter. This one was doing Carni. Everyone in the pt was between 55-57 except for the DM. This party could kill non stop, but Carni took more time to kill with 8 than Burz did with out 6 man team. That said, the other champion (not sure of his level) tanked full time, neither the soldier, nor the Knight could pull aggro off him. I'm not sure what the point of a Knight that doesn't tank is (if there is a soldier for the breaks), so I call this party gimped. I do not believe we could do Carni at our current levels as a 5 man.

Edit: Oh yeah. Burz is harder than Cryptic. even if they are the same levelish.

I spent 44-62 killing Salamanders South of Rondo! (and those goofy looking flying things, and then some of the firefly thingies mixed in with the rock thigies...(all South of Rondo, I just moved farther away from rondo as the levels increased)

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW
I just saw the picks of the R5 armor...
Male Hunter Armor looks completely stupid, and Male Warrior armor isn't that much better. Big Oyo is gonna have to stick to the R4 stuff. I like the R5 Summoner Armor for lil Oyo though.

I've still got 10 points unspent on the orc. I could do the last 5 in defense and 5 acc, or I could put some points into Mangling. I've heard Mangling Rox the Sox for 1v1 battles. ~200% of a standard attack.
The AE attack is supposed to also be good, but I think I may hold off until he is higher to get that one. Once he's lv100, I can use it to farm on the lowbies, but I'm worried about him pulling too many mobs on him and eating it right now.

I'd go 5 Def or Mangling then, the AE is good to get aggro in Mines from the Clerics etc tho!

Vines for example steal aggro like crazy down there with the bow.

When too many mobs are on the more fragile heroes, a well place geno might do the trick! Can be a lifesaver!

But def always pays off, the higher def, the less damage, the better tank! :D
