I'd be all over this had I the money. I would never have to delete a TV show from media center again.

500GB drives are 100.00 now so you're paying 400.00 for the storage and 400.00 for the Box/NAS.

Consider an eSata external or internal solution if it's feasible for your specific needs. I realize that the Terastation gigabit speeds are fine for streaming media and having a NAS device may be important if you're steaming via an Xbox 360, as Animalor does I believe, and you don't want to leave your main PC turned on.

Having both the 1TB Terastation and 2TB of storage in my PC now, I can tell you that I use the internal storage a lot more as it's so much faster. Transferring large amounts of data even using gigabit is a clock watching experience.

Also, unless things have changed with the Terastations, uploading to them is half as fast as downloading, so the part that you'd want to be the fastest (getting the large files onto the drive), is the slowest part while downloading, where the speed isn't needed for streaming, is faster. This may have been improved in the newer models. From looking at them, it looks like they've made improvments in the case design, making it easier to access the hard drives.
