Well, for those of you who didn't check it out on test, here's a quick peek at the new starting city for evils. My inkies are going home at last!

Video's not the best, but it has a few "OooooOOOOooo..." moments, so thought I'd share.

The "new" dark fae race (which look suspiciously like normal fae with emo haircuts) are also live as of today.

We alt-aholics also got a new character slot. About damned time!

Bring some of those alts to play with my Wizard while I catch up in levels. I am up to 40 now!

I made a little fae bruiser.
The zones are very well done.

Tell me it's called the Darklight Faire and is only there for 1 weekend of the month. Please!

Looks cool, tho I still despise the Fae, even if they're more goth looking for evil players. Any new screens for RoK?

What's the most uberest zone/dungeon in EQ2 these days?

Raid-wise, you're looking at Emerald Halls in Lesser Faydark. Final boss is Wuoshi.

That chubby little guy is a pet you can get from doing a quest line...rallos zek i think. He gives like a str buff or something.

Yea, it's a deity pet.

Have they removed most of the effects or is this how it looks these days?

Most people dial down their graphic settings for raids... for better framerates.

Understandable that they remove the majority of the effects during a raid, thought at first that EQ2 got a revamp!

The Wuoshi-raid vid almost makes me wanna play EQ2 again!

Vanguard is better than EQ2 tho?

Man, I'm loving EQ2. I haven't played in a few years, and going back now was totally worth it. I can solo, I've put together raids, I can craft. It's all truly fun, and the range of things within my power is a big retention factor.
Plus, it's Norrath

Vanguard is an unfinished mess at the moment, but who knows? I plan on taking another look in 6 months, but the writing was on the wall that the game would be a wreck at release.

Yeah, raid vids are cool, but I just don't have the interest in serious raiding anymore.

EQ2's been good to me. Got friends, a strong 1-70 game (now, at least), and enough lore to choke a camel. I'll probably move on when the content slows down and folks start to go elsewhere, but with Kunark coming out in a few months and plenty of stuff to do in the meantime, I think I'm in for a while. Even got my wife playing

If you haven't seen, Mayong Mistmoore also is an endgame boss in a raid instance of similar difficulty.

I'm curious how people who don't even play a game feel they can give an accurate opinion on the state of the game.
