I have this

Post by kyoukan »

So I bought this. The collector's edition was on sale for $89 CDN in a store here and it comes with 3 free months station players ALL ACCESS which I already pay $22 USD for a month, so it's not a bad deal! It also came with a hankerchief with a map on it and a free wheelbarrow so I can cart all the DVD's it comes on home. Also some other worthless crap. What server should I make my guy on?!

I also have 10 buddy keys so if anyone has like a dual OC3 connection running into a 50,000 terrabyte storage farm, you can download the client and I'll send you a key if I like you. I don't like very many of you so you should probably ask before you download the client.

Are necromancers any good in this game?

Necros were the gods of soloing in beta 3-4 then the nerf stick slammed them good to bring them in line. I believe they are still really good but I don't have any first hand knowledge. Glad I could be so vague for you.

I only wish you liked me, so I could ask for a buddy key. :(

Did they give you any Mildly Disagreeable Acquaintance keys?

Sweet, I hope they have a Squire class so you can carry my sword.

Necros are still pretty powerful.
I was duoing with a friend (28 nec) last night and we were easily taking on level 30-31 (3dot) mobs. Even getting a couple of adds was not much of a problem.

I (30 bloodmage) could solo them without too much trouble but I'm sure he would have an even easier time with them.
Fear, FD, pet, etc make them pretty powerful. I won't be surprised when they nerf the living shit outta them.

You may want to try a rogue.
There's not very many of them around as they were pretty gimpy on release. They got some real nice boosts in the last patch.

Don't play a monk or disciple.
For some reason, those two classes seem to attract the biggest losers, morons and the worst fucking players. Kinda like paladins in most other games.

What server should I make my guy on?!
There's a bunch of us on Targanor.
I'm playing as Effie.
Feel free to shoot me a tell.

Wouldn't that be precisely the reason to play one? If they're a necessary class, and most players suck... or are they unnecessary?

I actually read the vanguard site for the first time today, and I'm interested in checking it out. No idea what I want to play though, the only thing that doesn't appeal to me is straight melee, but that never has. Though whatever rogue equivalent they have might be fun, never went that route.

I ended up purchasing and downloading the digital download last night, because finding the download to use the buddy key for ended up fruitless after 5 minutes of searching.

I started the install before I left for work this morning. Was I reading that incorrectly, or did it really say that it needed 17Gb for installation? That's insane!
