Gratz to Saints for going into the god damn tank 2 years in a row. So damn pathetic to start 6-1 and end up with 9-7 and taking losses from the Lions, Bengals and Panthers which ended up costing us a playoff spot...not that it would have mattered if we actually made it to the playoffs. Well good luck to the Raiders anyhow....sigh another good start down the shitter.

There should be a federal investigation on the 2002-03 Saints. Vegas is behind the whole god damn thing.

At least we can laugh at the Patriots and Dolphins: playing like their lives were at stake and
both teams were eliminated by the Jets

Whats wrong with Joe Horn? He was pretty clutch all year. OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of it was Brooks not protecting the ball well enough and our Defensive line gaining mass amounts of weight, which made them slow and out of shape.

Any team that loses to the Bengals doesnt deserve to be in the playoffs. Hell, any team that loses to the Bengals should be stripped naked and led thru their respective home towns to be pelted with rocks and bottles.
I got a star!

Should read that they, "were eliminated by the Packers". I had to turn the game off and walk away. After they put in Pederson and took Favre out I knew that they gave up. Hell, half the team gave up before the half.
Only good thing out of this is that I get to see them play next week.

What kills me is the Dolphins were up for SO much of that game, but just let NE back into the game. Still, the lack of depth at WR and the amount of rust on Lucas' QB skills bit Miami this season, but hopefully will be addressed in the off-season.
The Bucs are so strong defensively that even Rob Johnson, the DUMBEST man ever to play QB in the NFL, couldn't lose the game for them. I hope that Gruden gets over his homosexual crush and lets Shaun King play second fiddle and learn from Brad.

The games this week were awesome. I had a $5 bet on St. Louis tonite and I paid the guy before he left work, seeing as how they were down 20-3 going into the 4th. That was one of the best 4th quarter comebacks I have ever seen. *(Jets/Dolphins on Monday nite in 99 was the best.)
Chad Pennington is the man. I'm so glad they took Testeverde's interception throwing ass out and put him in. I have been a Jets fan since I was a little kid when they had Ken O'Brien and Al Toon. If the Jets and Pittsburg both win, Jets will go to Oakland and Pitt to Tenn. Go Cleveland!!
Here's hoping Jets go to the big dance.
The Bucs have an awesome defense but without Brad Johnson, they will not be able to go into the Vet and take that game. I love watching them play b/c they are such a mean team, and I think Gruden fits that team perfectly.
It's easy to say that Oakland and Philly will be playing in the Super Bowl, but my pics are Bucs vs. Jets and Bucs win.

Try living in Cincinnati and having to deal with all the ESPN jokes about Bengals. I remember the old days, when we didn't suck balls.

The Bengals do not just suck, they are the standard for suck.
13 years of suckage, only one constant is the GM, every other position has changed, the same GM who thinks 1 scout is enough and gets paid regardless because the voters of Hamilton County are fucking morons.
Why are they fucking morons you might ask? Because they built a team with a rotten owner a new stadium and guarenteed it a sell out for a DECADE regardless by buying the extra seats with tax money. I moved out of the county when they did that, not going to pay extra sales tax for a loser.

Well, actually, the Dolphins life was at stake: regardless of the Jets game, had they won, they would have been in the playoffs.
As a Pats fan, I have mixed emotions. First off, they won the god damn Super Bowl last year - a damn special year from a damn special team. Going into this season, as far as I was concerned, anything they did this year was just gravvy.
Unfortunately, they started the season so damn hot, the trend in NE was to think the Pats were a little better than they were. I bought into it a bit, so there was some frustrating times, the losing streak with some real stinkers sprinkled inbetween good wins. In the end, as Bill Parcells says, you are what your record says you are, and the Pats this year were a better than .500 team, but not one of the six best teams in the conference.
So, entering the final weekend, the Pats needed a win, and help, to move on. They stunk up the joint through 3 quarters, but made an outstanding comeback in the 4th quarter to win. It was a great game for the team, and will provide great momentum into next season.
All in all, as a long suffering Pats-fan, if you told me going into any season that it would all come down to them needing a win in their last game, and with that win and some help, could earn a playoff spot: plus by winning that last game, you knock the Dolphins out of the playoffs ... and then they actually come from behind and win that game? I'd take that every year.

The Saints have a history of self-destructing during the season...this is not new. If you could look at their early, mid and late season records for the last 30 years you'd see a startling similarity, methinks.
