smoking cigarettes - a poll that Floridians can't stand

I've never had the habit myself but from the other thread it seems that a lot of people smoke(d). Curious!

I smoke about a pack every 3-4 days.

Started when I was 16, and quit when I was 21. Regrettably, I started again 3 years later, but quit for good 11 years ago. I used to smoke about a pack a day, two if I was out drinking.

That's about where I was, a pack every 3 days or so. Except when I go out, then it's usually more. I was probably smoking 3-4 packs a week. But I'd always told myself that I'd quit before I was 30, and then my old man got cancer a few months back, so no more smoking for me!

LOL

Yeah, where is the option, "I quit, but will sometimes enjoy a smoke on special occasions"

It's in the fucking garbage because I hate pleasing anybody other than myself. These PhP poll systems need a greater level of modability.

I this poll just for smokers? You need "I've never smoked" as an option if not.

I am currently at a pack or so a day (more when im drinking) but I am in the process of cutting back (which is going well so far) and then I am going to try and quit.

I smoked a pack a day for 15 years, but I quit back on March 19th 2005.

The first option says "I've never been a regular." That can mean that you've never smoked. I guess I left too much for the brain in this poll.

Seconded.

It's different from, 'I've never been a regular' you fucking mong.

Here's a thought too. If you wanna post shit just for yourself post it in your goddamn brain and don't bother us with it. If you're going to take the time to post a poll make the fucking options above the level of total stupidity and meaningful to people who are actually going to look at your shitty poll.

I considered that. "I've never been a regular" could also imply that you've been an irregular smoker. I want a more defined option!

I smoked pot and quit two weeks before last new years.

However apparently cigarettes are harder to give up (Pot wasn't hard to quit at all, although I still do long for it on occasion).

I've taken a puff off of one cigarette and found it to be the most disgusting thing in the world, and I coughed and coughed even though I was a regular pot smoker at the time.

Tried pipe tobacco, same thing.

Tried chewing tobacco and puked my fucking brains out for a day.

How can anybody try it (nicotine) enough times to actually become addicted? I've always wondered that (seriously please explain it - I'm really serious).

At least pot tastes good

Try Snuff! Why smoke or chew it when you can snort it!

This guy seems to have all the info links:

That's what I hear people say a lot. I am a little different in that I like to smoke cigarettes, but I've only had two or three in my life because I don't want the pain of being addicted. Pot is the cure-all. I don't understand quitting pot, though. Either I have a bag or I don't have a bag. There's no longing for more when I run out or anything. I think pot wouldn't be nearly as fun if I craved it.

My bad. Calm down and I'll make my options more clear next time.

You can add options to polls that already exist.

Posted: February 6, 2007, 10:46 pm
by Leonaerd
But since people have already voted, the results won't be as they should've been.

Where's the 'I used to smoke when I had too much to drink but I don't drink that much anymore so that's not an option' option?

Fascist.

I'm holding out for an option I'd actually vote for.

Facist.

How do I get it to let me edit the poll?

Interesting. I'm certain that used to work here.

I vote you create an entirely new poll-- and put some thought into it this time!

The poll options above are about as intelligent as our current president.

I concur!

And I think you used to be able to edit polls too. But maybe you can't anymore.

All the more reason to start over!!

I NEED MORE CHOICES!
