Go here if you wanna check the stats. Raistin is in 3rd and I'm impressed. Someone on this server is at 100% picks right now. I'm in 9th overall but still ahead of Zoocow which is nice.
The Colorado-Wisconsin game was awesome. I was so happy about that, even though I picked the Buffalo's to win, I was routing for Wisconsin.

Fuck the bowl games this year! Every game I picked to be an upset hasn't been, and every game I picked the favored team they have lost! I smell a conspiracy.

Uhmm...yeah...that's me at 100%.
Luck of the Lions I guess!
But hey, watch and see...lots of Big 10 games left that will probably screw me over. I also have a few major upsets coming up...they all arent going to happen, I can almost guarantee that.

i picked Wake for 3 reasons.
1. with the scoring system, there is much more to gain by picking Wake. The Ducks would only get you like 12 points, so that is nothing. no reason to pick them.
2. Wake has a good coach, and played some decent teams close this year, so i figured they had a chance.
3. I grew up in North Carolina and my family was big into supporting Wake

. this is the real reason i picked them, but the 2 above it make it sound better!
Go Deacs.

They have fallen fast. Wasn't it last year they were claiming to be the team to face Miami in the National Championship?
1 year later losing to the Wake Forest Deamon Deacons. Pitiful.

Yeah Owenn I picked, I accidentally made 2 accounts. The endless days of boring work are leading me to forget things.
Edit: My listing is under Irulan (my former surname)
Damnit...I am in 11th place.

Why is it that every year I must be reminded by my own bad picks that the Pac-10 is the suck? Someone remind me next year please to keep my pics to real football teams whoms homes lie in the east.
Thanks.

I picked Oklahoma and Texas to win, so they'll probably lose. At least they will if my luck holds true through the rest of the games!

I'll never go to another fucking Penn State game ever again. If they decide to TRY and play next time. I may just go. Can't believe we lost to a shit team. If I was Joe Pa, They would all be running fucking laps till next season. No excuse to play like a Division 3 A football team with a 0-10 record.

While I was commenting on the overall strength of the conference and not claiming that every Big 10 team would win every game they ever play against non-conference opponents, I suppose you're partially right. Yes, PSU lost a game. OSU is still unbeaten though, and has won more games this year than anyone else; I'm not really sure why you're grouping them together with Penn State.

If Ohio State wins, I win the bowl picks baby. If not I lose to Lawdag by like 15 points.
Don't think Big 10 can win in Florida. It has to be it!
Not to mention Iowa looked like they were playing their first game of the year. I really dont think a 47 day halt between this game and their last didnt help too much. They were tired the first half. Not to mention how rusty they all looked.

And not to mention that USC ripped apart the second rated rush defense in the country.
Of course now all the USC folks are whining that they should be playing against Miami and not OSU.

by Voronwë
maybe if USC hadnt lost a game they would be playing tonight.
Ohio State has never ever before witnessed the level of football that will be thrust upon them tonight. They will be pummelled early and often. Their quarterback will be hit late and hit hard. The penalty yardage will be a small price to pay for the intimidation that will enter this young man's mind.
This will be the first game all year Miami steps its safeties up to the line, and there are gonna be so many Canes in OSU's backfield it is going to look like an all you can eat buffet the day fat camp lets out.
Canes 125 Ohio State -2

For someone who is apparently better than anyone on Miami's team (according to Heisman voters), Banks sure stunk it up last night. A month and a half of waiting to play was certainly a big factor in that game, though USC flat-out outplayed them.
Congrats to Justin Fargas on a hell of a game. That guy survived being 3rd on Michigan's depth chart at RB before an eventual shift to DB, a nasty knee injury, and a transfer and redshirt 4th year to have a career day in the Orange Bowl. And he's Huggybear's son. GG

if Iowa fans want to bitch about 50 days off or whatever, they should blame their athletic department for not scheduling their season in a manner that would prep them for a bowl game of any consequence.
in other words you tell them "STFU noob!"
no doubt Sylvus about Fargas. The game was interesting as long as i watched it (i fell asleep in that eternity of a half time show piece of shit). The opening kickoff, the quick retaliation. I knew Iowa was going to get that field goal blocked after 2 illegal procedure penalties. That was too funny.

I sure fucking hope Ohio rips UM like nothing else. Sorta tired of " UM IS EVERYTHING AND ALL OTHER TEAMS ARE NOTHING" bullshit. I guess if you played in the Big East you can go 7-0, then beat Connecticut, West Virginia, Tennesse, and Florida A&M , and play for the National Championship. Don't even try and give me FSU and Florida are great teams. They suck more all year long than my team did in their bowl game. And thats sucking pretty fucking hard.
Bottom line, Ohio will run all over UM just like VT did,yet the final score will have UM under 20 points, and Ohio over 30. Fuck it.

I won my Bowl Picks in my work league. This introduces an extreme irony in my newly discovered betting life.
In my NFL fantasy football league, I researched all the players and teams. I made moves, adds and drops based on statistics from the current year as well as up to 2 years previous. I watched all the important games. And yet I came in 5th overall.
For my college football bowl picks I did absolutely nothing. I joined because my friend needed one more person, and kept badgering me. I had not watched more than a couple college games all year (I'm more of a college basketball fan). I didn't even know who was in what bowl. I went through the list, and picked at random. And what happens? The last game is tonight, but no matter who wins, I will be 100+ points up on everyone else.
I think I'll do two pools for March Madness, one where I pick at random, then one where I research and pick. I am betting the random one does better.

By whom? The bottom 10 percent in rushing defense in the nation?

by Voronwë
yes it does seem odd that i would make such a statement!
Miami's Run defense was about 75th out of 110 in terms of yardage allowed, so that sucks for sure. It is due to their tactical approach to defense which i'd say works, since they haven't lost in 34 games. They play 7 guys up, where most teams play 8 or 9 to stop the run. Miami attempts to stop the pass first, and they've only conceded one passing play over 40 yards this season, and it was in the 4th quarter of a game that they were winning by 30.
It is not a traditional approach to defense, and they lost a lot of guys from last year. All 4 secondary people are first year starters for example. According to one article I've read, part of their problem with big running games has been that the defense has been slow to come together and get the system down.
If i was an OSU fan i would be happy that my team's greatest strength will play into Miami's greatest weakness. But it is going to take more than running to beat Miami. Old time football doesnt exist anymore, and they will have to pass, especially since it will be hard for them to stop Miami's offense.
I would be very worried about the 31 sacks OSU's offensive line conceded this year. I'm fairly sure that they haven't faced a team with 7 NFL prospects on Defensive Line yet. So yeah, they better be able to run with CLarrett early or they are in super deep shit.

35 times teams have driven to the red zone this year.
TDs from red zone trips:9
In 13 games OSU has given up exactly 11 runs of 15+ yrds.
OSU defense is 2nd in the country in points allowed at like 12.2/gm.
I can't say who will win for sure, but I think it will be one hell of a game.
Go BUCKS!

Is no one watching this game?
Its a great battle so far. First half was great for the Buckeyes' fans.
4th Quarter now and it looks like the Canes are waking up.
Should be a great finish.
