How about a 'little' Yes:
Yes - "Heart of the Sunrise"
Great intro that will forever on now always remind me of the strip bar scene from the movie "Buffalo 66"
Totally! I have every pre-80s Yes vinyl and loved that flick--left that impression with me as well.
Also, gj on King C. Good stuff!

This video has been viewed over 9 millions times so I doubt I'm breaking any news here but this is the song/dance lady that inspired the nightelf dance in WoW:
Alizee
If you want to cut to the chase, skip to 3:20!
Only good thing to come out of WoW is me watching this video. One of the few good French things as well.
Never heard of Alizee but I assume she's hugely popular in parts of he world. Her legs remind me more of Lineage II than WoW!
Edit: on a sidenote, I happened to use up a bottle of whipped cream tonight so I did a whipit (sucked the last lungful or nitrous oxide out of the can), making this video twice as good!

Was catching up on episodes of Coverville (a podcast that specializes in covers of various songs) and heard this. It is Last Town Chorus covering David Bowie's Modern Love. Very different, but cool take on the song.

I don't know much about jazz but this girl's voice sounds awesome to me:
Nikki Yanofsky - Ella...Of Thee I Swing
I downloaded the Live album above and it's pretty amazing.
I think she's 15 when singing the live album above.
Not sure if 13 in this one below. Either way, impressive for a kid!
Airmail Special
Above is from French TV show. She's one of "those" people in Canada. From the interview afterwards, it looks like English is first language but knows French well.

Live recording of Malvina Reynolds. Born in 1900. Lyrics are simple and profound.

From the same episode. Pete Seeger covering Melvina's song, Little Boxes. (if you watched Weeds you'll recognize it). It may sound cheesy to some of us, but the lyrics are actually pretty strong for the times.

My best friend from 1st grade is now a fucking brilliant violinist. Here's a clip of him doing electric violin for the band he's in called Handful of Lovin'. I don't think the rest of the band is even close to his level of talent, but just listen for his violin.
Check out the clip. The first instrument you hear is him plucking away at electric violin. He's classically trained, but he can also use the instrument like a lead guitarist might.

Watch the whole thing. He starts with classic violin sounds and evolves to something that sounds like a lead guitarist in a classic rock band...

Yeah it is. The whole soundtrack to Once is friggin amazing.
Glen Hansard and his costar from the film are also in a band called The Swell Season. I'm not sure if the movie or band came first, but their first album shares some songs with the film soundtrack.
This is, in my mind, one of their best songs:
