CSIRO Research engineer Dr Richard Helmer is interviewed about the wearable guitar which works by recognising and interpreting arm movements and relaying this wirelessly to a computer for audio generation. It then shows him demonstrating it.

seems like the next step (or big leap) after this new product that was released earlier this year.

you'll have to ignore the mega gay photos they use for ads, but there are a couple demo videos linked on the right that are interesting. Basically, the guitarist wears a ring, and the motion of your hand wearing that ring is used to control typical expression pedal functions (wah pedal, volume pedal, etc), but it can also be programmed with gestures to turn on certain effects (any basic stompbox, dist, chorus, whatever).

It's a really neat idea that I am completely not interested in personally. I still like stepping on my pedals. *shrug*
