RU.. I should have scalped fucking tickets for that game.. What a fucking comeback... and god did they get lucky with that offsides call...

not really, he was clearly off sides. however, they got fucked by that bullshit roughing the kicker penalty in the first half, so it was good to see them get the win.

I meant they got lucky he went offsides.. I wasn't contesting the call.. And yes, the roughing the kicker call in the first half was bullshit..
But of course the BCS rankings will probably just bump them up to #9 if they're lucky.

They shouldn't be #3 that is for sure. WV was overrated when they lost. Louisville was overrated when they lost. I would rank multiple one loss teams over Rutgers (who has impressed me a lot).

Nope, I considered Auburn overrated. USC, Cal, Florida and Texas for sure. Florida isn't looking too hot right now though..

Wow I missed the Cal game today, that is a huge surprise since they have been playing pretty good. This is getting very interesting..
Imo if USC wins out it should be winner of OSU - Michigan vs USC.

USC is not getting through ND and Cal, not the way they are playing... Fla certainly does not deserve after todays pathetic performance... so you are gonna have Texas left over RU...
I still say no losses > losses

Yeah let's ignore completely what kind of opponents a team faces.. no losses!
Rutgers is a nice story and has impressed me. No way in hell they are #2 in the country. Plus they will probably lose to WVU anyway.

Errrr oops there goes texas too...
You can honestly say Fla deserves a championship game over rutgers?
USC lost to freakin OSU... no way in hell
And yes quality of opponents comes into the equation, but so does showing up and winning every damn week without a letdown, that is not an easy thing to do. Look at college hoops, win by 2 win by 22, a W is a W is a W first and foremost, as it damn well should be.
I will add, I went to Cal, I thought even had Cal won out, they had no right to be in the Championship game because they lost. Nothing is more important then winning, but then again, you are probably right, RU will end up probably choking to West Virginia and my point will be moot, pity too, because this is a prime example of why college football is a stupid fucking lesson in frustration, I still fail to understand why the fans put up with this much bullshit, I for one am sick of this stupidity every damn year.

of all the undefeated teams in the top 25, none of them have a tough schedule, really.

Can't even remotely compare football to basketball.. hello, play-offs? And yes, Florida would kill Rutgers.. as would Arkansas, USC and (this pains me to say) Notre Dame.

What I kind of hate, and feel like might happen, is the situation if Notre Dame wins out. Beating a #3 USC could very well move them into that spot, and let's just say hypothetically that Michigan lost, and fell below ND. After the drubbing that ND suffered against Michigan earlier in the season, would they deserve to go to the National Championship game in the #2 spot ahead of the only team that beat them?

If you lose you, you were not the better team, it is that simple in any sport, basketball, football, hockey, whatever. You can actually compare the 2 in so far as the way they are ranked and the different criteria they use. Margin of victory, sorry but who the fuck cares if you win by 42 or 21 over southwest lousiana tech, a win is a win, you looked good, you won.
Now a few interesting stats to make you think. Rutgers played a weak schedule... that is all I hear, who did they play, well here they are ranked 81st in strength of schedule and unbeaten, ok fair enough.
Where is florida? 68th and they LOST... 13 school spread is not nearly enough to cover a loss.
Notre Dame.... 67... yah what I said before.
USC is 52, you could make an arguement there, but seeing as Cal lost, the last 2 games are no win situations for them (win and ND has 2 losses, cal has 3... not strong, lose and well, you lose), winning out on both sides will probably leave the gap about where it is. Again you can make an arguement, but not really a convincing one either way here, if you say you think USC deserves it winning out, looking at those numbers I can see why, but certainly seeing those numbers you can see those that think Rutgers, if they win out (3 more games) is just as deserving as USC and probably more so then Fla or ND.
