Christmas Present Ideas

I'm going to start Christmas shopping in the next couple weeks and am l looking for some ideas, nothing specific really since I'm buying for all different type of people, different ages, price ranges etc.. Although, Eric's son is 9 years old so if you know any cool gifts that little boys are into right now, that would be really helpful.

So....

What do you want for Christmas?
What are some of the best gifts you've received?
What do you plan on buying for those special someones?
Are there any places online you like to shop for gifts?

(I do most of my shopping online, provided I can get free shipping.)[/list]

don't know what 9 year old boys are into, my 10 year old daughter is still very much into Pokemon, maybe your boy has some collection or hobby you could add to

one of the most fun gifts I gave myself and my family was tickets to Blue Man Group, probably any hot show, comedy club act or whatnot might be fun to take a hubby/boyfried to, provided the subject is at least remotely insteresting to them so they don't fall asleep after 10 minutes

Little boys are still very much into Power Rangers. E Toys has a good selection of their toys.

For a guy, how about a gift ceritficate to have a pedicure? Last guy I took to have one done, didnt think it was very manly at first, but after hearing himself purrrrr during the work, he changed his mind. LOL.

I tend to enjoy getting things that are either technical jobbies (computers/games/ipods/dvd's) or things with heart that totally surprise me but affect me on an intimate soulfull level.

I like to buy people things that are related to the dreams I know they have, to provide them with hope and support :)

I like to try and identify the hobby of the person and get something in that area. Although some people either have no hobby, or a really expensive hobby! so that may or may not work.

All I want for christmas is enough money to pay off my stupid truck argh.

I'm not sure what you mean by best gift received, but I've never really had the chance to celebrate christmas so there aren't a lot of things to look back on. I was pretty psyched one year when we got a christmas tree even though we didn't have any gifts so maybe that counts as a gift!

Also Thinkgeek has a lot of cool gadets and crap, but I'm sure you already know about it.

I still say go with the lifesize poster of yourself, that's what I'm going to do for the stupid company christmas gift thing

Although overpriced, I saw these flash drives while on vacation and thought they were hilarious, but extremely overpriced. I recently bought a 2GB flash drive for under $40, but the novelty is almost worth the sticker price.

I wouldn't mind one of these little coffee makers...

And you can never have too many of these:

i'm with sirensa... cashmere is always a great gift. i like to make gift baskets for my friends, and for the girls it's usually cashmere and whatever i like from sephora that season. the guys usually get toys from thinkgeek and food.

i'm planning on getting my fiance a nokia 770 with the GPS accessory. if that doesn't pan out, a pleo preorder (and hope he orders me one too) and a sony ebook reader.

my mom will probably get a day at the spa and some clothes. the dad will undoubtedly get some gadget, though he's still <3ing last year's g15 keyboard. and the brother is getting his present early, 5th row tickets to the nascar race next weekend.

for me, there are a couple of books i want but other than that i'm just hoping for good food.

I thought you'd want Guitar Hero II! ...or are you getting that already?

There's also the Pink Superstore:
