Terrell Owens told police he attempted suicide last night.
CBS 11 News first reported the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was wheeled into Baylor Medical Center Tuesday night.
According to the Dallas Police Department incident report, Owens told police he took more than 30 pills in a suicide attempt.
Sources tell CBS 11 News Owens was taken to Baylor Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue and that emergency room doctors attempted to induce vomiting.
Or as he's now being referred to, T.emO.

Maybe this will give all some insight into his antics. I hope he is well

TO's not right in the head. I'm ashamed to have used a mental case in order to win a FF championship a few years back. He needs to join Ray Finkle in retirement.

Why kill himself when there are so many out there that would willingly do it for him.

Oh yeah, well
The Smoking Gun has the police report!
I think you're going to hear a lot of people trying to say it wasn't a suicide attempt regardless of whether it was or wasn't.

Well, he seemed extremely aware and clear headed for having taken 35 pills. Don't really care all that much either way but from watching him, listening to what he said and how he spoke I would believe that it was not a suicide attempt. Doesn't mean the woman didn't think it was though.

he and his publicist gave a press conference that basically said the police and medical people involved in that report completely fabricated the entire thing. Every single point of it was refuted as a lie. This includes the sworn statement of his publicist, who was the person who called 911.
Read, the spin machine is in full effect.

I can't imagine that his publicist initial reaction is as far off base as they are now making it. There had to have been a build up to that moment or the woman is completely insane.

After listening too all the crap practically all day, due to my iPod not working and sports radio being a better option than crappy FM pop, I figure all statements are at least partially submerged in bullshit.
As an afterthought...Jim Rome is entertaining for about 10 minutes out of his 3 hour segment while Dan Patrick is pretty much spot-on the entire time (and he actually admitted what a waste of time it was to go on and on about the new 'TO thing'...

I gave up AM for pod/zencasts but used to listened to Rome most of the time when it came to sports and only Dan Patrick when Rome was on vacation or had someone boring on for an interview. I know Rome has his quiks and the "clone" thing is tired, but Dan always sounds like he's bored or something. He's just irritating to listen to and doesn't sound like he wants to be there most of the time. I'd go for a third option that was inbetween those two if there was one.
As for AM radio, I'm seeing a few of the big AM stations in my area finally switching over to FM. Now that satellite radio is sucking away a lot of customers, perhaps there's room on the FM band for talk radio as the little MP3 players don't have AM receivers (and all but the crap iPods have FM tuners built in...even the new Microsoft Zune player). I'd hope by now that the AM talk stations understand that it's in their best interest to get on FM even for talk shows as fewer and fewer people use AM.

Rome doesn't always waste 3 hours on something like that, but hey... his show aired prior to TO's press conference so he was going on the latest information and discussing it. The LT interview in the third hour was pretty good yesterday.
Rome has said this himself, but I'll second that if you don't listen to his show frequently, you'll probably not like it. I think most of it comes from the fact that there are a lot of inside jokes on the program that you only really understand if you've listened or if he's recently explained one of them.
I wouldn't call myself a clone, but I've been listening to Rome off and on since late '92. Sometimes I've listened regularly, sometimes not, but I still contend that there are very few people that can do an interview better than Rome.

You are such a clone!
-- yeah, I actually do enjoy his radio show for the most part...some of his terms can get a bit overdone, like the hippy-lettuce bit and some other not-so-funny-do-overs, but eet ees good enough--especially after the fanboi-laden-middle-aged Collin Cowheard random-rambling...
Rome does do a good job of bashing people, which is most always good...and I do get his schtick for the most part(re: adult alarm, good stuff)..., even though it gets tired now and again(re: masking terms too deep to make them entertaining--just blah)...

Deadspin reported yesterday that T.O.'s fiancee had broken up with him this week.
I still think he was trying to commit suicide. Maybe half-assing it, just as a cry for help/attention, but I don't think it was an allergic reaction or whatever they're trying to claim.

I love that he cracks on people that are fucking wastes of life, and gives credit to athletes that are actually good citizens. Voronwe once said that he's the ultimate sports groupie (paraphrase). He is, but it would be hard to do his job without that.
Collin Cowherd sucks ass. The only reason I ever listen to him is because the local station runs ManCow prior to Rome and ManCow is the radio equivalent of an epilleptic seizure while being forced to watch the Republican National Convention.

Happens to me frequently.... I'm thinking about something else while I'm typing and a word pops in my head that sounds similar to the word I'm typing and they get swapped around.....

The other thing I do from time to time is I write something out and reread it. Then I think of a better way to say it and I edit what I typed, but I insert text at the wrong point or forget to remove a word so I end up with an extra word. It's funny if I catch it before I post/email. Not so much if I read it afterward.
