I put together a computer about 3 months ago. Was running great up till 2 weeks ago.

I have:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
2.21 GHZ ram
Geforce 7600GT video card.
K8N Neo4-f motherboard./939slot
Windows XP
Zalman hintsink
500w power supply.

Now it likes to randomly freeze during games. Its random from 2 seconds to 25 second lock up. Only 2 times has it blue screened, and it both said something about Nvidia Driver.

Ive uninstalled the drivers and re downloaded the newest drivers from their webpage ( Sept 1 2007).Have DirextX9.c.

Everything from the windows error list, says its the drivers fault. Nvida says its a hardware problem. wtf?

Anyone have any ideas?

2.21 GHZ ram

Sure about that?

Have you overclocked at all? If it's freezing during games then it's probably being told to do too much under stressful situations. See if it freezes when you put all graphical settings on minimum (just as a control).

instead of using the newest driver, try using the 2nd newest.
