If you're lookin for an interim game... check out AC2. It's a big change from EQ but once you pass 20 it all makes sense... I'm up to level 28 now, in an allegiance (You all know and love the Monarch ehe!!!!1), It's amazing graphically, the world is just about endless, and it's great fun solo or grouped.
Still I'll buy SWG day one...

I was able to hold out for LotR Extended version so I should be able to hold out for SWG. Don't understand the hate for the game before it is even out.

Still don't see the hate. EQ is made by Sony and yet a large number of people on this board are still addicted. Are you one of the addicts or are you recovering as I am? ok anyone who thins ac2 is a viable alternative to the other games that are out or are coming out you dont know what a good game is
ac2 blows ac was OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS better uo was the best total pvp world with pickpocketing and stuff
it was great till they screwed the game of course (because of whiney crybabies he stole all my stuff and pked me and looted my house wahhhh) graphics were shitty but come on was agreat game AO was better in beta at least it was fun
ac2 has nice graphics but it will never outdo the first one cuz it blows i cant comment on daoc cuz i never played it but im heading to galaxies reguardless im tired of elves and bows
gimmie a lightsabre and an ion cannon ill be cool
btw anyone who has plaed ac for any period of time will lvl very fast and get bored quickly already seen it happen
high end game in ac2 is nothing
they went at that game totally the wrong way they didnt learn anything from ac except to cater to whiners so hopefully all the whiners will goto ac2 and the real players who have skills will stay in the good games and i hope ill see OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of em in galaxies

My h8 for Sony results from EQ. I don't quit EQ because of the time I have vested in this 'entertainment' and am not ready to convince myself that it was a complete waste of years of time. But I do understand it enough to know that how Sony treats me as a customer and the quality they give me in EQ sucks. And because of that, I have no interest in trusting them with another game and getting into the same situation.
Besides, I'm a believer that no game will ever be what EQ was again. EQ was as popular as it was/is because it was the first of it's kind. You can't capture that again.
Oh, and Verbatim CDR's > Sony's. Do the blue!
