The Pac-10 will investigate after learning that the family of Heisman winner Reggie Bush lived in a house purchased by a San Diego-area man.
Bush is probably safe no matter what the outcome is. But, I wonder if anything will happen to USC athletics or funding programs.

I have never seen anything happen to the athlete in these booster cases especially once they are gone from the school. THis type of stuff happens at all levels though. I don't agree with it but it would be impossible to stop it all. If they wanted to stop then they actually need punishments that would work like cancelling a season or making all of their players "free agents", i.e. allowing the players to transfer immediately. That would probably just worsen thigns though.

In my town there are two high schools. One is a parochial catholic school with something like 400 students. Their football team is usually very competitive though against schools twice to three times its size. I have talked to one or two of their coaches and why they wouldn't say it out loud they certainly did not deny that they recruited players with scholarships.
