Firefox users warned to upgrade asap..

Mozilla is warning users to upgrade to the latest version released last week as it fixes 21 securitly vulnerabilities in the browser.

The Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) warned on Monday that earlier versions of Firefox, and other Mozilla software based on Firefox code, contain a clutch of vulnerabilities that expose users to attack.
The Mozilla Foundation released a new version of Firefox last week, version 1.5.0.2, which it said contained fixes for several security flaws.
According to security firm Secunia, there are a total of 21 flaws in the older versions of Firefox, such as Firefox 1.5, some of which it described as critical.

Bah, you beat me to it, i was about to say the same
Oh well, 21 security holes, isnt that more than the average IE fixes? And does that mean that they just found 21 holes right now, or they existed for a while, and noone found them before, due to lack of proper testing?
Ok, that was a low blow, i know, ill stop teasing now

I will take Firefox with fixes over IE with multiple exploitable holes that have yet to be patched any day.

Why not use software for real reasons (better features) and not because people (MS haters) claim it's more secure than the alternative.

I use Firefox because it is faster, more customizeable and more user friendly. The fact that it is also more secure is just a side bonus.

Eh - I dont see how it being less attacked still doesn't make it a great choice. Switching web browsers for security is a very simple process in comparison to say, OS X vs. Windows for security.
If it's less attacked and has all the same features (if not more - like nice plugins) then why the hell not?

Actually I consider it more secure because patches seem to come faster for it than for IE. I've really had it with Microsoft's lax attitude towards patching and something is really wrong when third party patches are released to fix IE bugs weeks before MS releases theirs.
This is a neverending discussion though.
