Who will win the Heisman?

I think Carson will win it for a rew reasons. He's got monster stats that he put up while playing against the toughest schedule in the country, he got great exposure after blowing out rivals ucla and Notre Dame in back to back weeks at the end of the season, and I believe that votes will be split between Dorsey and McGahee by Miami supporters, and beween Banks and Johnson by Big 10 supporters, leaving all of the western votes to Carson. What are your opinions?

I voted for Larry Johnson. He won't win, but he should.

Being the leader of a team that has gone 34-0 in Div 1 says OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS. Enough in fact to lock the Heisman up for sure.

I really dont see why Dorsey would win. Sure hes been part of a team thats been National Champs. Yet hes not a "out standing" QB. He has only done what he needs to *Not fuck up* not lifting his team and or carry it.This is what the Heisman is about. Being a outstanding player, even if the support role isnt there to help you. Hes not outstanding, and has a great support role.

I do believe LJ will bring it home. Hes done so much more for the Penn State team this year, compared to other choices. Plus going 2k rushing yards, and being 9th in NCAA all puropse yards of 2,500+ isnt a easy thing to do. If LJ doesnt get it, I sure hope Carson does. He fucked up the weak ass ND team. Nevermind ND is a pure shit team, and wouldn't hold its own in a coffrence besides SEC or ACC.

I'd like for LJ to win, but I feel it will go to Carson Palmer.

I think it will come down to Carson and LJ. THe Miami boys are taking each other out of the race.

Think back to 1994, I beleive, when Kerry Collins and Kijana Carter were playing together on that undefeated team...they both split a lot of PSU points, therfore taking each other out of the race.

A lot of this voting is supposed to be for the player, but it has seemed to me be more for the teams since about 10+years ago...just my 2cp though..

like a lot of Miami fans, i spend about half of every game trashing Dorsey, and the other half cheering for him. So he cancels himself out.

I vote for Willis McGahee, but he will only get a heisman if he stays for his Junior year (please please Willis!!)

Dorsey is one member of a really good overall team. I don't think he will do that well in the NFL.

McGahee is still young. He won't wim because of split votes and his youth. I also think he is successful because of the great OLine he has there.

LJ has had some monster games but he has also had some real shitty games against the toughest teams on their schedule.

Personally I think Palmer is the strongest choice for what he has done this year against some stiff competition and without a huge amount of people to work with around him.

I am of the opinion that the Heisman should go to the best player of the year. It seems to be going more and more to the player who has had the best career. I also think that advertising for it has gone way overboard. Some schools are actually advertising their candidates for the award. The Heisman is not the award it used to be. In the last ten years they chosen some good players, but they have also chosen a lot of really big flops. Winning the Heisman definitely does not equal great NFL prospect.

Carson Palmer it is. And those Miami boys brought up the rear as far as the votes were concerned. If I remember correctly, neither of them got even half as many as Palmer.
