Looking at it for what it is, this is an impressive group of people that partake on this forum.

I have never came across a comparable site, group, forum or game that has managed to keep the near-same group together for so many years, yet it hapens here... why?

Is it the game we all played? Is it the hate or the glory we all shared in?

Does it have anything to do with a game at all, or are we just like some phenomena of the internet?

I appreciate VV and I hope you all do as well. In hopes of keeping the group here strong, and growing even stronger.... I challenge everyone here to do the following:

Think back and come up with just one friend that shared in EQ with you back in the day, but yet thier presense is not on the boards anymore or ever at all.

Make every means to contact this person, and invite them to join us here on Veeshan Vault. It will be interesting to see what and who people can come up with.

Following my own advice, I sent an email to an old friend some may recall. Dark Elf Warrior, Xkesman. Lets see if he takes the bait.

I can think of many people off the top of my head.

Neost still posts some here from time to time as does Drasta but I never see Nos or Lee. We know Lee has no love for the VV...

I haven't see Arundel in a while, not sure if he is even still playing WoW or not. Xyun is a rare post but I'm guessing he lurks with intent to pounce on unsuspecting conservatives...

Haven't seen Moogy / Elex post in years...

Balky Turtleslapper! played EQ2 for a while in the Bunnies then disappeared... Ogbar posts from time to time but I think is away for months out at sea between visits...

He's got his own little domain within the FOH board. He's also got those kids completely convinced that he's a she.

aww arundel was my first friend on EQ .. and i thought that he was a she until like ... lvl 40 or something crazy like that... and marb ... you know if nosty posted on VV leelee would kick his ass =-P

Well, truthfully, Sparty's posts are always great.... knew him from like lvl 14 or 15...

Carrion and Canodor never posted here, but went from lvl 8 or 10 or so with them in HHP.

Belisana and Gersh... saw Beli last time I was up in Boston a few years ago.

Seithyr is a fucking pussy cause he never goes out... but he posts every so often, but hes not old school.

Most of the other EQ friends I had still post... the ones that dont Ive lost touch with.

Haven't heard from Arundel in a while--at least on VV. Maybe check Ixtlan boards. Hmmm, maybe I should check the boards as well....lost touch with many when I left WoW.

Let's see, I loved the Newfies but they hated me because I would not show proper decorum on the message boards, so they are out. I still wish good Wendy's on them though. Pils is dead, Claritin/Chris hates this place, The rest of the Dangermice hate this place. Tiglat and my favorite Necro Michael always hated this place.

Fuck if I know someone that posted here that does not hate the place now.

she's out of the air force but working as an oncology nurse in Germany. She decided to take the European out and live there for a while.

So she tools around Germany on her Harley when the weather is good.

/wave Marb. Not sure if you're confusing me with someone else or not: I do travel a lot (especially this past year - oy!), but am not quite "away for months out at sea between visits". Despite my intentions, though, I never did make it back online as yet in EQ2. I guess my limited time in general plus my continued interest in CoH have kept me from logging in. Someday, though ... someday ...

/wave Neo. Thanks for the update. Give her my best next time you talk. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for a druid on a harley when I'm in Germany (I imagine I'd see leaves coming out of the exhaust or something).

I remember when Mae shipped out. She was one of the first people in EQ to drop what she was doing and help a level 17 druid get his Testament of Vanear quest done WAAAAY back in the day. I think that was even before Kunark.

I would have listed Fameen, but I heard from him not to long ago. And im pretty sure Fam still reads the boards but doesnt post much. Fameen, let us know your still alive. I think Senani still reads the boards also. You there Senani?!
I guess the one guy I lost touch with and have wondered how he and his family were, is Sithe/Grimme and Rizelle. He never posted much, but I know he use to read the boards a very long time ago.

This also got me thinking about some of the people that Ive known for an extremely long time and are still reading the boards. Belfrain =), Sirton, Homercles, Voronwe, Ransure, Kylere, Sueven, Pox, Valryte, Little Rico, Etc. The list could go on and on. I guess the point is, VV really is an incredible little community of NAMBLA members.
