I dont know what the fuck is up with this, I really like their music but I start getting annoyed and/or bored with it after a couple of songs. Been that way since Toxicity(or whatever it was). I would say that means I dont like it, but I do

I tried to listen to it (them) but I thought it sucked from the start. We all need more growling bands...

I kind of dig a few of their tunes, they have a very Queen like feeling to them in terms of silly experimentation.

It's very explosive, high energy, and contrasting.

Going from soft, slow, and quiet, to absolute high speed, mayhem and back a couple times in a song could be exhausting.

I personally enjoy it very much, but I need to be in a mood for it...or it tires me.

I find their stuff to be very musically interesting but like Truant, I have to be in the right mindset to enjoy it. As for the longevity, I haven't really listened to them enough to get bored or annoyed by their songs.

I dig their sound. The drum work alone, is enough to get massive praise from me.

Some of thier songs just don't sound very good until the chorus, but the chorus and riffs are so addictive and rocking that it's pretty easy to put up with the rest of the song that you may not like. After awhile, the entire song kinda grows on you like a fungus. SOAD are weird like that. I just like them because thier sound is so different and they experiment with new sounds and ideas all the time.

I actually like their new CD a lot. The first time I listened to it, I only liked a few of the songs really, but now I can listen to it from start to finish and love every minute of it.
