Never heard of it. Doesn't look like something I would use though. I have the individual applications that I'd find useful already installed.

Doesn't look too useful to me, perhaps even lame. Firefox and Adobe would be the only things I'd want and can get them seperate elsewhere. Chunk OpenOffice in there and it would suddenly become useful.

I can't see why in either case. Google's a search engine from a company with no products other than the search engine (so far).

I wasn't aware a 'product' had involve the exchange of money (it doesn't). The most common definition is "a good or service that is produced" - and google asks nothing as payment.

For those that do not think Google Earth is a product, then you need to type earth.google.com in your browser, and check out that word BETA on the Google Earth icon in the upper left.

A product in development is a product.


In addition you can buy google servers to pop into your network and nearly "auto-googlize" it, or you can add a local lookup google server to your isp. that is quite the product even when it is not related to search. Hell VV needs google ads to be honest, we could cover some of the annual cost that way, and the site def gets decent pageviews.

What the hell is this? Looks like a mish mash of internet apps clumped together.

I guess it's for newbies that don't know any better.

I find everything on my network speedy-like using Copernic. Much better than the Goog;e, etc Desktop search solutions.

We're using it internally, does a nice job.

Why would a company be afraid of Google? Serious question, beyond monkeying with search results.
