Coheed and Cambria

Ok, so i used to rag on people who listened to this kind of music, but i decided that i would spend the last 48 hours downloading music that i often made fun of to see what its all about.
So to give you a taste of what type, i downloaded Fall Out Boy and Coheed and Cambria, the rest along the same line as that.. classifiable as emo i guess you could say. For the most part, i didn't like any of what i downloaded, only a select song here and there. However, Coheed and Cambria on the other hand, i found incredible.
They are more rock than they are emo.. infact, they really aren't that emo at all from what ive heard. The singer may have a high pitch voice, but would you classify Rush or Supertramp as emo? This band rocks. Their guitar is wicked, not exactly shredding like most of the bands i listen too, but they make good use of the whammy bar. Some of their songs i just can't stop listening to, and the majority of their songs a decent length with a lot of solos and instrumentals.
If you like rock, then check these guys out.. They may be a little mainstream and new age, but they could be one of the better bands that has come out in the past few years.
