A bit too much unless your building a 1320 trailer queen. Sure as hell arent going to run something like that on the street. Not unless you steal Bill Gates credit card for the gas bill.Aabidano wrote:http://www.stevemorrisracingengines.com ... 600hp.html

I will be putting it into a 56/57 bel air one day. I watch overhauling and saw them stuff one of these in a camero.

Just wondering what type of trans could handle the 610hp

The wheel is for turning, boys.
Why would you put something that size in a Bel Air? Unless its just to say you have it its not like you would put it to good use.
A nice smaller/easier to deal with 450hp BBC would be just fine I would think or are you building a full out drag car?
You gotta realize if its a car you are going to want to take for drives and drive it to shows and such that 572 is not really built for being a streeter, although you could force it into it I suppose. Of course if your building a trailer queen might as well shoehorn the blower in there at the same time.

The 572 is street able, not a daily driver by any means, but for a weekend cruiser or the occasional car show.
The reason I want to put it into a bel air is that there is plenty of room and I would not need to strengthen the frame. Basically a plug and play so to sppeak. To me, yes just my own opinion. There is nothing else that say hot rod then a 56/57 chevy bel air. I remember when my dad would pick me up in school with his.
I have built many cars in my life, they have all been small blocks. This will be the last car I build, so I am going to go big block for once.
