I don't see anything dunbfuck about having a mental disorder. Instead I would be looking at LA County's district attorney that spent about half a million bucks prosecuting a first time offense shoplifter to the fullest extent of the law so he can get his name in the paper more often. At the same time he lets 2nd degree murderers and rapists out on laughable plea bargains to avoid the expense of trying them.

I hate to say it but I agree with most of what Kyoukan is saying.

The DA went way overboard trying this case. A first time offender should never of gotten tried with a felony for shoplifting. From what I garnered of the case it was way over sensationalized and a lot of people were trying to make their careers on "I busted Winona". Way too much money was wasted when it should of gone to more important things like trying murderers and rapists.

The penalty she got was way over the top as well. Three years probation is ok but 480 hours of community service is unfucking believable. I knew a guy who broke into several houses and had a stolen gun on him when he was caught. He ended up with 100 hours of community service and like 5 years of probation.

This is just another DA trying to make a name for himself so he can get a real job somewhere else.
