For you old school dogs.... remember when we only had Lguk and SolB to xp in? 115 in each zone.... hours looking for a group.... running back and forth between the zones.... frustration.... finally resorting to killing West Freeport Guards because, lets face it, it was good xp :)

Well Im back in Lguk at 64 killing and killing and killing and killing for faction. Im trying to complete the Crown of Deceit quest for my Beastlord.

Im having nightmares now... Im seeing undead frogs in my dreams and the ghoul lord is ass raping my warder....

Please, shoot me now.

Well, I actually got into everquest right when Scars of Velious was released. But Lguk was still quite a haven for exp then. I remember going to get my rogues mask of deception, and there being like 60 people in lguk, and having to beg the ass/sup group to give me the next mask that dropped..... Still brings back memories although my rogue is a wood elf so i have no reason to get this helm lol.

Here's a tip for you guys doing the Crown of Deceit quest:

Just get to 'indifferent' to the live side, and you can use Tricksters Augmentation to faction you up the rest of the way. If you have the scalp you can probably get away with a lower rating than indifferent.


Also that stupid 'an old froglok' has a PH. Talk about annoying as sin.

yeah...you had to be one of the regulars in Lguk at that time period. Sitting at your camp, and seeing Kwon running around from camp to camp, helping with CR's, singin' the fishcake song. .... think I was actually with Xou when I I heard that first (In my former EQ self as the necromancer Serriah)

Then a certian time in the wee hours would come, and the japanese players would start coming in, camping where they pleased at times.

ANYWAYS....

If anyone wants to come down and faction with me in The Hell Known as Fish Cake Land... feel free... Mostly I just run the zone killing anything that pops... gets boring sometimes.

I hit up a small AE group a few days ago in Ghoul Lord... seemed to work out nicely.

Im usually online around 5:30PM PST until 8:30PM PST M-Thurs...

I remember when Bakara bugged me to come join a group in LGuk camping the sup/ass. He was like "Come hang out and you can get a mask that turns you into a DE!" I didn't see any point to it, but went anyway and looted a mask on my cleric. After the nerf, I was thankful that he pestered me about it

Anyone remember Shanks and Edair wearing SMR, crouching and walking around lguk, /say CROOAAAKKK to everyone they ran across? I still have the screen caps archived somewhere I swear...

Hehe, it was one of those night when lguk was like NFP bank. Any froglok, named or not, had like 2 sec to live after it popped.

The first time I went to LGuk was with Raganork, Askarii, Creediki, Koraf and there was no one else in there. This was early in the game, back when you snuck down to THE BOULDER and sat shaking while some one would be brave enough to pull from across THE BRIDGE!

I remember them telling me to stay on the bolder no matter what and not to cast on THE BRIDGE or I would aggro everything down there. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

pulling on those nights was a pain in the ass. you had to shepherd your frogs into camp hehe. and it was no holds barred frog snatching. wherever, whenever you could get a frog from, you got that fucker!

I still remember selling my first Serpentine Bracer for 1200pp...man, those were uber. How can you go wrong with both Dex AND Agi?

Great... now to top it all off.... I spent like 5 hours facitoning again last night and got to Amiable....

Now Im told Agnostic Vah Shir Beastlords CANT GET BETTER then "Amiable" to live frogs... now HOW GAY IS THAT.

The old frog is uncharmable (assuming that's what you were after)...

The lord has a drop with a +frog modifier on it.

Im currently still Amiable after hours and hours of frog slaying. I have no yet maxed my faction increases with the Frogloks of Guk so we will see.

Once you're indifferent just get a chanter ot come cast Tricksters Augmentation on you,and that'll take you up to warmly.

At indifferent Tricksters + scalp = ally.

6 days and about 25 hours of pulling singles and trains = Threatening to Amiable. Im still gaining faction and not maxed yet....

I dont recommend this shit to anyone for any reason unless you got time to blow. I should be getting my last 60% in 64 to ding 65, but damn it, I want that fucking Crown ^^

Yes, I could likely get Tricksters Aug on me, but I really would like to do this without outside help if at all possible.

I still need the Crown off of Reets and the Cloak, but that will come in due time. No rush there... I think at this point faction is #1.

what are the stats on this fuckin item?

it would have to be AC50 25sta 100hp 100 mana 15 all resists, Vengence X for me to do that kind of faction crap
