I'm really not quite sure what is wrong with meeting someone online. How is that really any different from meeting someone at a bar, in rehab, in a mental hospital, via 'speed dating' or at the county fair?

I've got a few friends who met thier current boyfriend/girlfriend through a 'dating service' and they aren't the least bit embarrased about it.

Ten years ago I met my fiancee though my friend Susan who I met online almost 12 years ago.

My wife is a former coworker I met while working as a resident engineer at UCLA.
