It's finally here! Who is going and what are your predictions?
-Alfan
my prediction: A.J. Hawk scores 4 touchdowns, records 9 sacks, and eats Michael Hart in an unprecedented second half performance for the win.
Buckeyes by 14.

People wrote Michigan off at the beginning of the season, and so far like 3 of the 5 things we've needed to have happen to win the Big 10 have happened. The final 2 will happen on Saturday; Michigan will beat Ohio State and MSU will beat Penn State and Michigan will win our third straight Big 10 title.
Sorry Buckeyes TT

OSU's offense has been clicking big time, and the defense is just plain lights out.
I think OSU will win, but I wouldn't write off Michigan by any stretch.
Michigan has been coming on strong after stumbling early, and this is the game where records mean absolutely nothing. Both teams could come in winless and it would still mean something as a game.

SOS will have nothing to do with psu seeing as how they will win the big ten (most likely)

This is my current understanding of the big ten title picture. Tell me if I'm wrong about anything.
If Penn State beats Michigan State: Penn State wins
If Penn State loses to Michigan State and Ohio State beats Michigan: Ohio State Wins
If Penn State loses to Michigan State and Michigan beats Ohio State: Michigan wins.
Correct?

That is the correct picture as I understand it.

This reminds me of AvP. Whoever wins, football loses

I saw an Illinois license plate yesterday that was perfect for the Chicago-based Michigan fan like me: DA BLUE
Go Blue!

I'll be at the game. I'll also be on the golf course beforehand, properly lubricating myself. (that means getting drunk, you sick fucks)
GO BLUE!

I'm not sure if this is true. I don't exactly know how the tie breakers of the big ten conference work.
If the tie breaker is head to head matchup, then yes, Michigan wins.
If the tie breaker is overall W-L record, then Penn State would win.
Posted: November 19, 2005, 2:07 am
by Zamtuk
there will be no tiebreaker, michigan will win. overall record has nothing to do with conference record.
however, this is all moot. michigan will lose.

Actually if OSU wins then Penn state will laff and laff and laff their way to a Big Ten
COchampionship chuckles.

Well sure, except for Penn State's win over Ohio State and their better overall record and their automatically getting the conference's BCS berth.

So money!
I hope we play the higest ranked team, and not just a money bowl. And I love how everyone says this is PSU's first BCS game! Penn State is 10-3 in "BCS Bowls",before BCS was around
Whata great year!

I have to admit I never thought at the End of all the bowl games Penn State had a chance to be ranked #4 or #3.

That OSU Michigan is one of the best I can remember.
I didnt think OSU had it in them when they went down 9, but Troy Smith and the offense rallied to win it.
The thing that impressed me most about Troy Smith today was that he used his mobility to give himself a little more time in the pocket to find a receiver. He only ran as an absolute last resort, and picked up good yardage with his feet when he needed.

yeah, he has molded into a great quarterback. When they took that other dude out and put smith in i was like, you're kidding me, we're done for the season. And he did lose a couple there, but he has impressed me a lot lately.

Penn State and Ohio State share Big Ten Title

Penn State and Ohio State share the Big Ten Title, but the BCS automatic bid will go to Penn State as they beat OSU earlier in the season.
I still expect to see the Buckeyes in a bowl game. It'll happen.

Great game and I have to admit that the Michigan fans were all really nice and polite (this in stark contrast to us OSU faithful). Hell, I couldn't even provoke the students into heckling me. I hope someone up high has faith in Lloyd Carr and extends his contract, because it appears Michigan has found its John Cooper.

ps. $30-40 to park on that golf course? Michigan doesn't appreciate a college budget.

There are plenty of places to park for free in the residential neighborhoods around the stadium if you don't mind a half mile or so walk.

I am OUTRAGED that that OSU receiver stepped out of bounds on that long pass when they were making their comeback. Michigan should be the rightful VICTOR!!!
Not really though, shit happens. Good game OSU, even though I still hate you all. We'll see you in Columbus next year!
And yeah, $40 to park on the golf course is pretty nasty. I ended up spending $320 just to park for tailgates this year. Fortunately I try to make my friends throw in to offset the cost.

Actually Sylvus I thought the same thing on that play, but I read the NCAA rule book.
NCAA Rulebook wrote:
Eligibility Lost by Going Out of Bounds
ARTICLE 4. No eligible offensive player who goes out of bounds during a
down shall touch a legal forward pass in the field of play or end zones or
while airborne until it has been touched by an opponent or official (A.R. 7-
3-4-I-III).
FR-96 RULE 7-3/SNAPPING AND PASSING THE BALL
Exception: This does not apply to an eligible offensive player who
attempts to return inbounds immediately after being blocked out of
bounds by an opponent (A.R. 7-3-4-IV).
PENALTY—Loss of down at the previous spot [S16 and S9].
The DB knocked Gonzales out of bounds and he immediately reentered the field and is therefore a legal reciever.

Final
Arizona 20
Arizona State 23
Winning the state rivalry game always makes up for a somewhat shitty season. The Devils are off to some crappy bowl game now.
GooooooDeviiiiils!
